If critics praising something made it popular then Kay Kay Menon would be the superstar of the country. And Katrina Kaif wouldn't be surviving in Bollywood.

Leaving that aside, SRK-Deepika at the time of OSO had a lot of hype because it was one of the biggest blockbusters of all time. But I don't really know many people who go "I really want to see SRK-Deepika in a film together again really badly" and I see the same thing for Shani only on this forum.

^Sure if it was just the critics who mattered, then both Deepika and Katrina would have a tough time. So would Imran Khan, Lara Dutta, and a lot of other people. Katrina was just an obvious example. I was just trying to point out that critics' praise doesn't make anyone popular.

On a serious note, we shouldn't get excited about a movie until there's confirmation. According to articles and reports, Shahid has signed bajillion movies. If we go by articles then Shahid is doing movies with Sonam Kapoor, Sushmita Sen, some South Indian actress, Dev Patel, Ranbir Kapoor, Imran Khan and many other people.

So far, Shahid is only doing Mausam, let him come back and then he'll read scripts and sign new projects.
