🤣 OMFGGGGG... THis guy Ballu Saluja was INVOLVED..IN indias longest RUNNINGG.. THE weirdest and the crappiest.. JISKE SAAMNE ekta kapoor bhi amiturish lage.. "SHANTI" Is anyone here aware of that crapfest soap opera SHANTI.. It went on and on and on and on.. there was no limit to it.. Damn that exlains it.. it starred mandira bedi i think..

Ammu, I can't stop laughing. That song is perfect. I think Shanti is the name of a film that he is editing that is in pre-production by the way and will release in August of next year.

Also, he did edit Pinjar, which I liked due to performances, but was pretty drawn out too, if I remember correctly.

This serial Shanti sounds like a real riot though.

Honestly Ashu and his editor should move to prime time Indian televison and work on Soaps there this kind of talent is much appreciated where you can drag shiz for 100000000000000000000000 epis.. Ashu is the "right fit" in Indian soap oprea scene.

I don't think Shanti was an Ekta serial. It started off alright, and I liked its feminist undertones. But like Adios said it got dragged and dragged forever.

I totally agree with that. A lot of Ashu's movies remind of soaps with better production values. The lingering shots about nothing in particular, the ridiculous sub-plots and his willingness to stretch a simple point like chewing gum. He would fit into television pretty well.
