Aamir does a Fanaa and Ghajini so that he can afford to do a RDB, Lagaan and Sarfarosh. Mainstream movies give him moolah and a bigger fan following for the type of movies he wants to do. That explains it that why he is the only guy who can make movies like RDB and Tzp and make them as big as any mainstream hits. While some people attempt one or two message worthy movies and vanish in thin air because they dont have funds to continue. U gotta do a Ghajni or a Fanna to grab the attention of the majority of audiences who watch movies for escape factor and fun. And when the audience trusts you then you can attempt diff stuff and have a nice balance. At the end of the day cinema is a mass comunication tool the more viewers you have the better it is. I dont find it useful to make movies for selected audiences.

Another one of Bwood's lame attempt at terrorism...as if a Newyork wasn't enough...(I haven't seen Newyork, nor am I intending too..the promos were enough for me...)

Coming back to this plot, it has that typical bollywood stamp all over it; cheesy and corny.. and it does sound very similar to Fanaa, and that was a debacle, in terms of performance and the story. Do we really another Fanaa??

Regarding the whole Aamir dicussion, as much as I like him as an actor, but I have to agree he is not any difference to the other actors, when it comes to his marketing ploys. The reason he stopped attending the awards was because he thought he deserved to win an award for his role in Rangeela, but he did not and someone else won it.. I am not sure but I think it was SRK for DDLJ, if my memory serves me right. Hence from then onwards he decided to stop attending. But these awards are a JOKE...

i really hope it's not lame. i think people are tired of this topic about terrorism. the promo showed pretty typical features of a typical movie about terrorism. i'm happy kjo isn't directed the film or else it would've been ruined. i still sense that there will be some influence from him somewhere! still not interested in this movie anymore. will catch it on dvd after reading the reviews!

I know that Fanaa and Ghajini did not live up to the mark, and ventured outside the vicinity of Aamir Khan's usual movies (the latter especially, being a mutated version of Momento), but Aamir Khan would be a pretty boring actor if he did the same type of films over and over again. I simply think that he was trying to target a different audience with these two films and further widening his versatility.

Aamir definetly ghost directs his movie For Ghajini I saw an interview where he was with ARR and Prasoon Joshi when they were coming up with the songs. Which lead actor is involved in the music of the film ?

As for Qurbaan can they postpone its release to later say after 2 years atleast ?- its like I watched NY just yesterday.

that's the problem. then mnik is releasing next year! not worried about that one since srk and kajol are too big of superstars to not make that movie a hit

What is with bollywood and making movies about terrorism these days?

This looks a whole lot like fanaa....=S
I see that SRK in MNIK is supposed to have Aspergers? People with aspergers syndrome have incredible difficulties having social interactions with others.....so how is he married? These people are closest to those who they are with from the start (ie parents) and pretty much lose it if they are seperated....
I guess this is one movie I want to see=// lol.
