The industry is buzzing with the news that Ashutosh Gowariker has chosen relative newcomer, Asin, to play the lead in his next project 'Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey'. The pretty young actress will have the pleasure of sharing the screen with none other than Abhishek Bachchan in a surprising pairing which is sure to delight.

A source revealed to a daily, "Asin met Ashutosh at his Khar office four days ago. He told her that he was keen to have her on board for his period drama."

Asin, had such faith in her new director that she didn't even listen to the full narration of the project but agreed to it on the spot. The actress told him that she has seen his previous films and was looking forward to working with him."

A source close to Ashutosh commented, "Yes it is true that Asin is in his film. The formalities will be completed soon."

It was understood that Aishwarya Rai was to play the lead previously; we wonder what happened....?

great choice.....looking forward for the film with asin....ashu is a great director especially on epics....but why abhi and not hrithik....hrithik will be looking the best...anyways a film to look forward

I don't think Ash was ever considered for the role! Plus, she has her hands full with a lot of other work!
