 Surprise, surprise. Known for his stern personality, Nana Patekar recently showed his soft side when he came to Ranbir Kapoor's rescue on the sets of Prakash Jha's Rajneeti. If it weren't for Nana, Ranbir would have definitely cut one of his fingers.For Rajneeti, Ranbir had to shoot a scene in which he was asked to cut some vegetables. As soon as Ranbir heard what was required of him, he knew that he wouldn't be able to do it. "Even then, he tried to put his best foot forward and he did not tell director Prakash Jha that he hasn't ever cut vegetables and that he wouldn't be able to carry out the scene. Ranbir did try really hard but as he had expected, he was unable to get it right despite several attempts," says a source. Seeing Ranbir's predicament, Nana came forward and told Ranbir not to worry. He took Ranbir aside and gave him lessons on how to deftly cut vegetables. "Nana actually chopped vegetables so that Ranbir knew how to go about doing it," adds the source. Once he got lessons from the senior actor, Ranbir got it perfectly right. Not content with only teaching Ranbir culinary skills, Nana also made kheema-pav for the entire unit. Confirming the story, Jha says, "Nana bahut achcha khaana banata hai. Usne Ranbir ko zaroor sikhaya. Lekin isme kaunsi badi baat hai?" |
