Superstar of tomorrow?! - Page 5

Just wanted to add: If the question is who would I like to see getting more success and attention for their acting then I would say:

Prateik Babbar, Chitrangada Singh, Konkona Sen Sharma. I don't think these people will be "Superstars" in the original sense. But hopefully they will get attention for being good actors. Ofcourse, Prateik still has to prove himself, but Chitrangada and Konkona are my absolute favourites.

Geet---You like Chitragandha too! I thought only Nimmi likes her!

I hardly think that the younger crops or even shahid and Ranbir can create the hysteria that follows around Salman and Shahrukh! Both of them are true superstars and will continue to be so...Hits and flops are way beyond their persona and masses continue to love them...For others, every friday, there will new actors that will continue to challenge them.....

Abhay does have his own USP, but I still don't think he will be a superstar in the way SRK or Salman or AB Sr. were. There is something about their persona and charisma that is actually quite an obstacle in the times of multiplex cinema. It is not necessarily a bad thing, because quite honestly I like the movies coming out these days a lot more than a huge chunk of the 80s and 90s.

I think SRK has sort of evolved his style to suit the current times. Salman has struggled and now has come back with what seems like a total 80s masala film in Wanted. Again not a bad thing, because it is what suits him.

abhay is alright... he might do well, but i won't say he has an edge...!

I think ki superstars ka zamana chala gaya hai.. It is all about scripts and roles these dayz.. this is proven by the success of Aamir khan.. and independent movies.. As Srk said it himself he is the last superstar..Audiences are getting smarter.. and they are attracted by better stories.. than your typical movies.. which by the way i love.. Tat is why I am saying Abhay deol.. I would definately bet ma money on him.. Abhay can definately make it to the top.. because he has great script sense.. and he has his own style.. and a unique personna.
