ok, so i have just come back from watching it and i loved it! When i first saw the trailer and saw Veer, i was like, 'is that a new comer?' and then i watched it couple more times cuz of the ShaNi scenes and realized that its Rani as a guy! Completly fooled me! Rani makes a very convincing guy! lol.
Movie : ok, so it was abit to dramatic in some scenes, they couldve shorten the cricket match @ the end and there shouldve been more ShaNi scenes. But hey, no movie is perfect! Inspired by Amanada Byne's She's the Man, i think Yash Raj have made a good movie. Rani looks at her best and gives her all in this movie. This is Rani's movie and Shahid comes second. A nice family movie after so long! The climax is very predictable, but then again, so are all Bollywood movies.
Music : i loved the music! There's the romantic number, Ishq Hai, which i loved! Then there's the dance number, Hadippa remix, then theres gymshim with very funny lyrics. Bhangre Bhistar which introduces Veera as Veer (i loved this BB video, and Veer's entrance into the song!) Diskowali Kisko is another dance number (i loved how Shahid was looking @ Rani in this song, so cute!) and the original Hadippa song which is the first song in the movie ad is nice.
Jodi : OMG ShaNi totally rocked! their chemistry was sooooo đ đł In Shahid's previous movies, there was no other actress other than Amrita Rao who looked nice with him. Priyanka and Vidya (Kaminey & Kismat Konnection) looked mature for our Chocolate Boy, Ayesha Takia just looked...big for him. Kareena was no good as well, i think their jodi was good in Jab We Met. Shahid's chemistry with Amrita Rao rocked, but now finally! Rani looks awesome and cute with Shahid. I really hope we get to see more of ShaNi.
Additional actors : Anumpum Kher (sorry, dno how to spell his name) rocked as usual, and i loved to see him and Shahid again as father & son. I think his name is Dilip, the Pakistani coach, but ye, he rocked to. Sherlyn Chopra was a waste. it was nice to see her in a movie where she's not kissing anyone or in bed with anyone, but i still didnt like her in this movie, she's doing the same roles over and over again. Rakhi was alright i spose. But ShaNi had completely stole the movie!
Scenes to watch our for : i personally loved the ShaNi scenes! i loved their first meeting, which was hilarious! and the scene were Rani is in the shower and Shahid sees her naked! loved it! the video for all the songs! and oh ye, the scene where Shahid comes to say sorry to Rani and comes on the stage as SRK 4rm DDLJ, loved it! (he looked soooooo hot in that black jacket and hat!)
Overall? : the movie was really good, but dnt go to watch it if you have high expectations, its a really nice family film with the next awesome jodi. Take the kids to, they will love it! I had to drag my younger siblings (brother is 10 and sister is 8) to watch it and they loved it! it had english subtitles so they understood everything they said! its a great family entertainer with awesome music. I loved it soo much that i'm downloading it! i just want to see the ShaNi scenes! lol
so i'm going to give it a...3.5/5. The love story was abit fast and it was abit dramatic. I have to say 1 thing, if the film does not do so good, but everyone is going to be talking about ShaNi! I hope we get to see more of them in the future!
