There is no rift between me and Salman Bhai: Shahid Kapoor

There have been rumours of Salman having a rift with a number of celebrities. If it was Viveik Oberoi one day, it was SRK the next day. Then it was Aamir Khan's turn some other day. In fact, Salman and controversies have been going hand in hand for a long time now.
The latest one in the list seems to be Shahid Kapoor, who along with co-star Rani Mukherjee was invited to Sallu Miyan's Dus Ka Dum. Rumours doing the rounds claim that while Rani was given a warm welcome on the show, Shahid was given a cold shoulder. Even during the actual game, apparently Salman was constantly encouraging Rani to perform better, but when it came to Shahid it was a very moderate reaction. Rumour mills have been working overtime to find out the reason behind this and speculate on what next.
TellyChakkar managed to speak to Shahid himself about the rumour. "I don't know how such things spread. Nothing like this happened on the show. This is completely untrue," was the first reaction from the handsome hero whose career is northbound after the critical mass acclaim of Kaminey. Shahid went on to vehemently deny all such rumours.
Was it true that Salman was warmer towards Rani? "You have to look at it differently. Salman and Rani and very good friends and go back a long way. So it is very natural for him to be more open with Rani. And that is exactly what happened," explains Shahid, visibly upset at the possibility of these rumours creating a rift between him and Salman.
So then how is his rapport with Salman Khan? "Bhai is a good friend of mine and I have immense respect for him. There is no reason why he would behave badly with me. In fact, he was very cordial with me on the sets of Dus Ka Dum. There is no rift between me and Salman Bhai," says Shahid.
