and i find it quite ironical, that people say that it is ash who gets away with it beign a woman considering she was bashed left, right and center after her two infamous break-ups... so much so, her career almost ended... some getting away with it, ehh....

No there is no comparison here.
She dumped Vivek - cruelly yes but Salman abused her and made lot of trouble in her career and personal life - that is a lot of difference.
Actually she dumped Salman too right ?

There is absolutely no need for him to suck upto Salman, Salman doesnot want anything to do with Vivek. And no he wouldn't get any career back by sucking upto Salman.

I don't really think Vivek is the villain. He obviously lost his girlfriend at a time when he had a lot of other problems as well. But that does not automatically make Aishwarya the villain.

When most celebrity couples break-up people try to paint one as the jilted lover, and the other as the scheming vamp. Usually the latter is the woman (Aishwarya, Kareena, Deepika are some examples). I prefer to think that no one is at fault (except for when physical abuse or cheating on your partner is involved). Relationships end - it happens.
