but we're talking about the movies here. for years the sikhs have been ridiculed and been the butt of jokes of many movies. however, now when they feel that they have a voice then suddenly it becomes a great issue with everyone.

no not all those singers where a turban....BUT if they were to wear one i can assure you they wouldnt be wearing a patka....but a full fledged turban. in this movie we are shown a sikh who has unshorn hair so the whole issue is wearing an actual turban not a patka. so you can stop bringing that whole issue up time and time again. there is no double standard.

also, what is your point in bringing up the hindus and hindustani....what do you mean by "where everyone is living as a hindustani?"

and please dear for the last time...get your facts straight.....sikh and punjabi are not the same thing. punjabi is a LANGUAGE and sikhism is a RELIGION.

My facts are always right but get your facts right !! You donot want to listen to anyone what people are saying !! We are not discussing on any religion but the movie DBH and dear please talk about the movie and not any religion thanks !!

we are not discussing any religion??? then why did you bring up the khalsa panth and the 10 gurus and the fact that they were hindus before??? if that isnt discussing religion then i dont know what is! throughout this whole post you keep bringing up sikhs and double standards etc etc.....so is that all in the movie too?

Okay i really don't think this should be made into such a big issue, no offence to anyone. Yes i do understand that this might be a sensitive issue for sikhs but i think they should get used to this by now , this is bollywood and there might be someone playing a role of sikh.

i dont think the issue is someone playing the role of a sikh. the issue is how they are portrayed.

LOL... one argument that i found quite funny was 'get used to it, it happens'... umm, first of all, WHY...?? bollywood has a tendency to make fun of a lot of relgions, not just sikhism... so if certain people of the community have a problem, they have EVERY RIGHT to point it out... and as minnie said, they CALMLY asked for a screening... what is exactly wrong with it... it's better to have a screening to cover their bases than to hurt sentiments of a certain community...

i have no intentions to carry this discussion forward, but i'll just say this... just because someone does not say something, does NOT mean what's being done is okay... and just because someone raise a point against something, does not mean that it is wrong.... for others, it may be a non-issue but it is an issue for quite a few other people...!!

This I had been saying for a along time now dear friends that YRF has ruied Rani's Career !! With getting stuck with them her every movie under YRF has flopped and she is there where she is now with her own fault !! She did super duper hit movies with Karan !! We have seen lately that all YRF have been made so rubbish Who can forget Tashan !! Biggest flop after RGV aag !! She should move on if she wants to be back on her original position !! YRF movies used to get so many awards every year !!Can any one remember when did they last get any award !! 👎🏼
