Vishal goes Deepika way...two intelligent people feel the same way...

In an interview to media Vishal said the tings that makes a lot of sense but were ignored by th elimelight on Kareena....HE said:

A - The role in JWM was written in a way that Kareena appeared to the masses. it was the role that was for masses...

B - The character of Kareena worked in JWM just becasue of Shahid. He was there to compliment her and thats why the character worked.

C - When I saw the movie I though even though you can see hte role is written for the female actor adn then also Shahid accepted th erole I saw the intelligentce in him. He is very intelligent actor.

So as I felt that both are equally important to the movie JWM and in Deepika's word "Shahid got sidelined".

I agree completely with you. When the role was narrated to Shahid , he knew that Geet was the star and Aditya the star-maker, to put it correctly. But still, Shahid took up the role not just because Kareena was his girlfriend or that he really lacked work.....he explored the subtle side of a man in love through Aditya. Such maturity , intelligence and adorable factor to the character. How could any girl not fall in love with a man like that.

What Shahid doesn't know is that this sidelined character in a blockbuster is paving the way for his superstardom which is just a few miles away...or maybe he does.

JWM was as much as Shahids movie as it was Kareenas. I really dont think he was sidelined ? Or maybe some people only think that because he didnt get the BA award.

@Okies Tappy. Shall wait for that.Shona is a quantum of energy. I like seeing her ... kinda infectious happiness.

@4ev3r. Ofcourse, JWM was as much Shahid's movie as it was Kareena's. But Geet was so vibrant and in-your-face that most of us took Geet back home with us while giving the subtle Aditya a hats-off. Not that somebody is to be blamed here. It happened on it's own.

Bebo could have been sidelined too if Shahid's character was just like her...he was quite and thats what worked in Bebo's favour...both of them were equally important for the film.

yes, kareena did have a more fleshed out character... wasn't that the same case in SNT... Aditi was the most memorable character in the movie... true, abhay was nowhere close to shahid in terms of acting... but it is wrong to say that shahid got sidelined... he got nominated everywhere and his performance was appreciated... even sajid praised him during the awards show and said, that shahid truly acted... many directors took notice of him and he's definitely going places after JWM... it's wrong to say that JWM has ONLY worked wonders for kareena... it has for shahid also...!!

i suppose one feels that their favourites are neglected when the performance does not fetch an award... i wish though, that people would be a bit more generous and apply this rule to everyone...!!! 😊
