Dharmendra
on Neil Nitin Mukesh
I have worked closely with Neil and I can claim to know him pretty well. Neil is undoubtedly one of the best human beings and one of the finest actors that I have come across in my entire career. He has a great lineage and a good upbringing, which makes him adhere to all the qualities of Indian culture. He has been brought up in a wonderful family. I am fortunate enough to know them.
Neil is a humble boy and is respectful towards one and all, especially his elders. During Johnny Gaddar, I realised that here's one guy who gives his 100% to the character he plays. He is so focused that he lives the character he is to play. I was amazed to look at him during the making of the film, because here's a boy who was so into the character, that even we, his co-stars, didn't realise when he was acting. He does it with utmost ease, as he obviously studies the character in detail.
For someone as dedicated and focused, I know for sure that the sky is the limit. I wish him all the best in his future endeavours, as I know this boy deserves all the success he can get.
Rishi Kapoor
on Imran Khan
I met Imran recently when I went for Shammi uncle's birthday and I had tears in my eyes when I saw him. I was very close to his grandfather Nasir Hussain and I was even witness to his mother Nuzhat's wedding. So when I saw him having turned out so good-looking, I knew that he's bound to be a big hit -- what with those genes and great looks.
I have seen bits and parts of his first film, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, and I think he undoubtedly has the makings of a great film star. I wish him all the luck especially for his grandfather Nasirsaab's sake, as I have shared a very sensitive relationship with him.
on Asin
Asin holds great promise which has been well expressed through her work. In her last film, she proved that she has a wealth of talent. She has shown that she can be a girl-next-door as well as be sensuous in her appeal. That is a classic combination.
Ghajini was a great platform for her and I loved her performance in the movie and am sure she will go places.
It is easy to take one look at Asin and conclude what her USP could be. She has versatile talent and that is what will pitchfork her to greater heights. Before the film release, people expected the film to be all about Aamir Khan but Asin stood out, held her ground and she will continue to do so no matter how big the star opposite her is.
She is just not a pretty face but also a good actor. She has freshness to her which no one will be able to ignore. She is undoubtedly one of the better talents to have been discovered by Bollywood and the films that she has taken up after Ghajini is a testimony that film-makers here are ready to trust her in big budget projects like London Dreams.
Abbas Tyrewala
on Genelia D'souza
Genelia is a bundle of energy and a fine actor. She was certainly one of the best things that could happen to Jaane Tu ... Ya Jaane Na and I wish her all the best for her future. She has the potential to go a long way.
The best thing about Genelia is that she is a very receptive actor and a complete joy to work with as she is open to experimenting and advice. She should remain the same way. That's what makes her a director's actor and that's the best quality one could look for. She has years on her side and with her talent, she will be go places. She is already doing some good work and such films will only go on to exhibit her talent further.
From the moment she had stepped into my film, she expressed the hunger to deliver. She was brilliant like all the others who put in so much of effort to make the film happen, something that the audience recognised and appreciated.
Genelia is also an enthusiastic person by nature and gels well with everybody. She and the others grew close like a family; it is very vital when people work in big teams.
