Sex Symbol of the Decade?
Good actresses come and go. There are Rani, Preity, and many others. But twenty years later, if one was to look back at the decade that was, more people would remember a sex symbol over a good actress. Sure we remember actresses like Nutan, Nargis, Sadhana, BUT what always stays in our memory is a sexy dancer like Helen. A seductress like Zeenat. A sexy diva like Rekha. This leads to the question: who is the sex symbol of this decade? I think the top contender would be Bipasha Basu. Sure actresses like Priyanka, Kareena, and Aishwarya are sexy. But Bipasha has been a sex symbol first and then an actress. That is why she is synonmous with the Sex Symbol tag. She makes sexy look easy. Apart from being sexy, she is classy and doesn't have to strip down to small clothes to appear sexy. Another contender is Mallika Sherawat. Her films like Murdur and just her aura and sultry persona have made her a sex symbol more than an actress. Today there are many who are follwoing in these twos path, but i think they were the two first ones and two acclaimed sex symobls of the decade.
Some other names that pop up are Malaika Arora Khan (although she hasn't really achieved much),Katrina Kaif, Lara Dutta, Sushmita Sen, Shilpa Shetty etc.
