Mumbai, July 18 (PTI) Shahid Kapoor has a lot to look forward to in the month of August. Not only will the actor's much awaited film 'Kaminey' be released but he will also receive the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Award in the 'Best Actor' category.

The 28-year-old award actor said that he felt "humbled" at being chosen for the award whose previous recipients include some of the most well known names in the entertainment industry including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai.

"I was pleasantly surprised to get the news about my being chosen for the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi award. I'm only 28 years old and its really early in my career. I feel humbled and honoured to be chosen by the jury," said Shahid in a press statement.

The actor will receive the award in a function that will be held in the second week of August in Mumbai.
