Bollywood starlet and Bangalore girl Anushka Sharma is in the city today, and is thrilled to be back after four months. Now that her family has also moved to Mumbai, the actress doesn't get to come down and catch up with her pals here that often. "So, I just tell them to come to Mumbai when I'm free," laughs Anushka.
Currently, the actress is busy with her next project, in which she stars opposite Shahid Kapur. "It's yet to be titled and I've been shooting for it for the past one-and-a-half weeks," she says, adding that it's too early to reveal anything about the plot or her look in the film. "But this will be different from Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi because I don't want to repeat the work I do," she reveals. But like her debut, her second film is also a Yash Raj production. Is she only going to work with the Chopras? "No, I'm reading scripts from other production houses, and I'm open to films in other languages as well," she maintains.
Does she ask SRK, with whom she made her debut, for acting tips, Anushka says, "He'd help me if I asked, but he's a busy man. And I prefer making my own decisions," she says. But she's been getting a little on-the-sets help from Shahid Kapur. "He's very dedicated and takes a keen interest in every aspect of film-making. Since I'm just one-film-old, I get pointers from him as well. He's a fun guy, not stand-offish and boring," she says.
Anushka also brushes off comparisons with other southern actresses who made it in B-town, like Asin and Genelia. "They worked as actresses before making their Bollywood debuts. I haven't faced the camera as much as they have, so there's no question of me being in competition with them," she asserts.
