Why Kambakkht Ishq is doing well?

(Go and watch Kambakht ishq it works, it works as a timepass movie and so please go to your nearest cinema with your office group, friends, girlfriends and u will enjoy your experience…. in words of Akshay don't use your brain just enjoy the popcorn sit back and relax….)


I disliked Singh is Kinng, welcome, Tashan, Cctc, etc and with all the negative reviews from all over internet world I had no expectation(sometimes it helps) in watching this movie. The reviews said theres skin show, there are dogs and bitches words used, Amrita arora does a self – insulting role, Akshay is repitative, kareena hams plus shes is a super model and surgeon!!, music is all time low, Hollywood stars are b grade and not to mention their roles, toilet humour, theres no plot and whatever that is rest on watch that sings om mangalam, etc (AND MAY I ADD EVERYTHING AFORESAID IS CORRECT) ……But the film works inspite of all above defects. Yup all above defects sounds true and unforgiving but believe while watching the movie you wont even notice half of them. The jokes, romance, emotions by the lead actors take over and you will forget about above all.

Thanks to KAREENA(second Half) and AKSHAY(First half) (Firstly the movie is fake artificial and the makers knows it and they are open and forward about it as Akshay said forget ur brain at home movie)

Yup Kareena saves the movie for me by her emotional acting towards the end and giving the movie much needed drama. Special mention to Kareena's acting when shes fooling with Akshay for her reasons. (remember Hulchul where she does same with another Akshay(e)) That act is done with really seductive eye-lips movements. Through out the movie Kareena takes control of emotional aspects and also the thrown around character background also works greatly. Giving Kareenas character much need sympathy and reasoning for her behaviour( ofcourse its not rocket science reasoning but than too a reasoning unlike other stupid comedies this reason gives the emotional connection which is played to perfection by kareena and yup it makes us care about her in climax. Only Kareena could have pulled it off. Because that not only requires a pretty face but some acting, confidence in ones ability and that is what Kareena has it pull it off. Mark my words Deepika, Katrina, etc couldn't have pulled it off.

Yup Akshay works well hes not Aamir Khan and this guys knows it and works on his strength which is playing a playboy from Punjab with some action thrown around. It's the vintage akshay which highly complemented by kareenas character and her acting and mind you it wouldn't have worked with Katrina or even Deepika as sugeested by many. Akshays jokes keeps on coming in random order and ensure a superb first half. It's a laughathon in first half only due to akshay and his comic timing and special mention to the one who plays his sidekick. But in second half in his romantic sequence and award winning sequence he quiets down a bit from firs half and allows the emotional bond to flow, to be seen (specially the proposal sequence, and his break up) (remember Namastey London). For Sabbir Khan debut director not much much impress by him but have to give him for his courage to play the emotional track in second half with conviction and declining to used Faras Comedy like SIK, Welcome in the climax and that ensures a good acceptance in audience. He basically I feel belonbgs to David Dhawan brand of film making where many a times you see his climax become emotional (of which I had liking in my youths) (like those karisma, govinda, salman movies)

Production Values – Another thing that makes the movie works are its rich production values and beautiful locations of Los Angles.

Audience Reaction- They were enjoying the movies especially aunties, young teenage guys. They were left in split through out the movie by its jokes. Specially youngster were loving the skin show and it was visible by sitis. But also to note I went to 815 show in Big cinemas ticket were easily available and auditorium only 40 %. So it has taken a usual 60 % drop I feel Meanwhile even I m shocked I liked the movie.

And Kareena u got a new fan.
