Film maker Ken Ghosh has made two films in the past - ISHQ VISHK and FIDA. And as everyone is aware, both the films have featured Shahid Kapur in the lead. Now with the film appearing to be all set for a 6th November release, Ken would be through with a hat trick of films with Shahid.
How has the journey been?
''Well, one thing which is quite clear is that Shahid is a lot mature today'', says Ken after a little pondering, ''One of the major reasons for this is that along with success, he has also had a lot of failures. These failures have taught him a lot.''
For Ken too it has been a similar road traveled. While his debut flick ISHQ VISHK was a success, FIDA turned out to be a flop at the box office.
''In life, failures teach you more than successes'', he further goes on to philosophize, ''When you start analyzing things in retrospect, you can see the experience of those failures from the past kicking in. They further go on to shape up your success. This is exactly what has happened to Shahid as well. The result is some continued good work he has been doing for the last couple of years or so.''
Is there any other change that he has observed in Shahid?
''There is a different kind of energy in him today'', Ken reflects, ''In the days of ISHQ VISHK and FIDA, it used to be unabashed. On the other hand today it is much more controlled. He knows what is necessary and what is not. He knows today that how much he has to give to a particular scene. This is something that comes only with experience.''
