definitely one of the better movies this year...direction is very good...
story is gripping..i mean i was always into the movie..never got bored..

some reviews were of the opinion that 2nd half id bad n 1st half is good..for me both were equally good! i cant really tell which one was better!

have to say that john was very good 👍🏼 i guess this is hir career best performance.. finally john proved that he can act.. lol.. he was really good especially when he was held by FBI n tortured!

Neil was good for his part.. omg hez so fair 😲 it was hurting my eyes 😆

songs are nice! hai junoon is really cool...

oh how can i forget katrina.. i wont say it was an extraordinary performance or something on those lines... BUT it was a very good performance going by katrina's standards.. she has definiely improved..so well done for that!

Overall: Good movie! definite one time watch!

Alrightt New York!!!! I watched it yesterday...

Quite honestly my expectations were not that high, the promo and songs looked all good but I had my doubts that a Bollywood commercial movie wouldn't be able to pull off such a sensitive issue convincingly and the fact that it was YRF's banner--my confidence dropped 50%.

But to my surprise, I quite liked it. There were hefty of loop holes and man!!! they just had to ruin the ending by adding those extra dramatic scenes and dialog but have to admit New York is a STRONG MESSAGE well delivered.

John-Neil both were great in the movie. I've always liked Neil and John proved himself to be a far better actor. Katrina did damn good as well. I've never seen her acting before but with this movie, she broke that shell. The last scene was little over the top but she was greattttt in all the other scenes and she looked a million dollar-- There was one particular scene...sigh!!! Dreammyyyyy!!!!! 😍

Somehow Irfan Khan as FBI agent didnt cut thru. I dont think Bolly is yet capable enuf to show how FBI operates. After having watched movies like 'The Traitor', 'Body of Lies' to name a few--- the whole FBI operation thingy seemed quite silly but again one can just ignore it.

Love love love the songs and the way it has been picturized in the flick...Songs blend in to the story and not just pop up...and Good Lord!! The songs just adds vibrancy to the movie....Amazinggg!!! 😳

To summon, New York gets kinda boring at some point but there were moments of SHEER BRILLIANCE which make it worthwhile. Sad that they couldnt capture the same brilliance till the end. But I reiterate, NY is a Strong Message well delivered. 👍🏼

P.S. John Abraham scores!! The look on his face in 'Mere Sang' song--- That is ever so haunting *thumbs up*

The detention center scenes were HEAVY-DUTY. Punch of the movie.
