If he is guilty of the crime, then he should do the time as Amreen stated. Well, I don't think he is going to serve a 10 year sentence. He probably does have a good lawyer. But unfortunately, countries like to make drug laws tough to make a point. Personally, I don't understand why people, who are guilty of drug related offenses, get more time than rapists. Actually, I know why because it is easier to prove someone guilty and get a conviction. Sad.😔

He doesn't need jail. He needs rehab if he really isn't clean. 10 years? That's crazy. Its not like he's a drug trafficker!!!

the legal process takes time. so what should we do ? let every criminal go free after X number of years ? and in all probabilities, the delay is because fardeen's lawyer would ask for another date, another extension again and again.

It was the same with sanjay dutt. he keeps saying he is tired. his supporters say he has been troubled enough for so many years ...... but where was he - making movies and money and enjoying a good life while his lawyer kept on delaying ... and no he should not be punished because there has been so much delay!!! ... mind-boggling

his dad death, no matter how awful has no bearing on the caase

whether he is clean now or not is not relevant. the case is about what he did then and so should the punishment. if someone steals/kills/smuggles/does fraud , should we let him go now because he hasn't done it again ?

and how does one even know he is clean ? weight gain is hardly a conclusive evidence.

it should be simple - he breaks the law, he should be punished
