Well, well, what is this I hear!?! It seems like the mighty Akshay Kumar has taken a beating yet again. A little birdie from Bollywood tells me that the release of Akki's latest film Kambakkht Ishq is being postponed to August!
Evidently the dreaded R word is taking its toll on Bollywood and looks like Akshay has been the worst hit so far.
That is not all. A movie buff friend also tells me that the film is a remake of a Tamil movie Pammal K. Sambandam starring Kamal Haasan and Simran. Pammal told the story of a movie stuntman and an upcoming doctor.
It seems Anees Bazmee was to remake the movie and offered to buy the rights from the producer of the original at Rs 5 lakh. When Sajid Nadiadwala heard of this, he made an offer that couldn't be refused... of Rs 75 lakh!
The budget of the Akshay starrer is said to be aound Rs 60 cr. And with the film's release being delayed further, it makes me wonder at the number of people who are beginning to feel the heat.
