Rani Mukerji has always been touted as the reigning queen of Yash Raj Banners. With her professional intimacy (and probably much more) with Aditya Chopra, Rani Mukerji has secured all Yash Raj projects for herself, and that is what she wants it to be like in future, too. Grapevine has it that Rani Mukerji is trying her best to salvage her drowning career graph, by hook or by crook.

The latest victim of her desperate efforts has reportedly been Asin. According to a recent buzz, previously Aditya wanted Katrina opposite Shah Rukh Khan in 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi', but Katrina being a Salman-girl, it was out of question. The next choice happened to be Asin. But perhaps Rani's perceptive woman's heart had an inkling of what was to follow, so she got Asin's prospects doomed for 'Rab Ne…'.

However, Rani's fears came true when there were rumours of Aditya's unusual interest in his new heroine Anoushka Sharma. Anoushka had reportedly signed a three-movie-deal with Yash Raj banners, but with Rani's attitude towards all newcomers, the future of any such contract is hazy.

Rani's desperation is growing as even ad campaigns are slipping out of her hand after potential movies.

Is the Yash Raj queen down to clutching last straws, now?

Seriously, its a pity to see an actress of Rani's calibre being wasted this way. Her biggest mistake was aligning herself with Yash Raj alone. That production house's reputation sunk and dragged Rani down with it. What a powerhouse performner...

If you see then Yash raj tanking and Rani going down happened same time.

I don't know why Rani has suddenly donned a Greta Garbo-isque image.

In my opinion, Rani is a very talented actress. If she really wants to come back on the top, then she should experiment w/ more different productions and directors other than YRF, like Ash, Kareena, and Priyanka do. Is she really planning to spend the rest of her career doing films only for YRF? I don't think that's a wise choice, but then again...it's her career.
