I know that Aishwarya, SRK and Hrithik was famous in the US because hrithik's commercial is shown like thousand times and plus SRK and Aish were on the list of hot bodies.
But today I was watching the David letterman show and Will Smith was there, he was telling David that he don't watch he's movies. David said to Will Smith, "I watched Hitch, Salman Khan was in the movie right?" He was joking around since Partner the hindi movie and Hitch was basically the same movie and they didn't change a thing. But I never knew bollywood was this international, it's very good thing to see

David Letterman is my favorite late night host. He doesn't kiss up to guests like Leno and is more real. His interview with Paris Hilton was hilarious because you could tell there was faint disdain there and he found her vacuous and annoying. He might have read that though in an article, but I do think Bollywood is getting more popular. Ash has been on his show too I think, but it is nice to see that nod to Bollywood. If you want to talk about nods to Bollywood, you should watch this clip where Stephen Colbert references the Amitabh Bachchan and SRK feud. No joke. Skip to the 3 minute mark.

Oh, and my personal favorite calling AB the Alpha Dog of the Week.

David was weird when paris hilton was on the show, he drank the perfume😕 I watched that episode when Aish was on 2005.
But yeah that's very funny what he said about SRK and Big B😆 I wonder if the audience he's telling he's joke too know whose SRK and Big B is😆 because I remember most people didn't even had a clue who Aish was when she was going on show after show

I think bollywood and it's celebs are more known in the UK/Europe than in the US. The media and tabloids like the BBC, Guardian, Daily Mail etc quite often review bollywood films, it actors and the presence it has in the UK especially.

Of course the bigger celebs are more well known, but i've had numerous conversations with non-asians who have a little interest in bollywood and what its all about.

As for Shilpa, she is a household name but is not loved by non-asians as she makes out.

Exactly, bollywood is more known in the UK but yeah the bigger celebs are known worldwide.
Shilpa said after that show, people were supporting her except for her own country😕😆
