Rani and priety

Hey

I was watching Raja ki aayage baraat the other day and it got me thinking that was the first movie of ranis i ever saw. Even with priety it was kya kehna...looking at both of those movies now and where they are now i am not suprised. I mean in both of those movies they played such strong characters i am not sure if they were their debut film i am sure it was not prietys. However i think that their acting in both of the movies was that good. Also the subjects were very interesting as well and different for them both and can see why they have done soo well in the industry.

Ranis voice stands out alot in her first movies though one thing i noticed ..

Have any of you guys seen these movies and what you think??

I know Rani is one of the best actresses and delivers amazing performances in all her movies but I dont watch Preetys movie that much so I cant comment on her.

it was Rani's first movie..and it was very low budget film...still Rani was recognized and appreciated widely due to her acting!

as for Preity, it's not her debut but ya it was very early in her career and she definetly played her part well.

they both deserve to be where they are today!

When I look at their old movies and latest movies, what surprises me is that how much improvements there has been with makeup and visual effects. Things are much more clear.

I never saw RKAB (but have heard alot about it and about the impact Rani made), but Kya Kehna I thought was a very daring film for Preity to start out with. The film was a very controversial one at the beginning of her career. Her role in Dil Se too spoke of how she was willing to do those unconventional roles. Also I thought she did a good job in KANK too though I actually do not like the film too much. The thing is I wish both had not succumbed to relying on Yashraj in the last few years. That is why I am glad Preity is venturing out and trying new things. Rani may too from what one gathers from her interviews. Anyhow, I agree with you Nina. Those are two debuts that signaled actresses that would stay awhile. I just hope now that they will get roles despite not being in their early twenties.

Yeh it was pretty early that role for priety..oh raja ki aayegi baarat looks abit low budget but very well made but rani was superb it glad her acting was appreciated in it deserved to be..

I have not seen dil se but kya kehna was but i liked the subject and the way preity played it had a very big hand. Yeh both have done quite a few films with yash raj but i do think both would do good roles if offered them once again mean preitys playing some interesting roles and rani has done. Yeh glad you agree with me about debuts.

yeah ive seen both the movies, and i felt they were both exceptional considering they were newcomers, rani was especially good in scenes where she spoke out for herself, priety emoted really well to her character and looked really cute. from watching these movies it was pretty obvious that these two actresses had the potential to become the superstars they are today. hope they continue to act in many more good movies with meaningful roles, they might not be their 20s but who cares about that, the 20 year old actresses can't even be compared to rani and priety, and if srk,akshay,saif,salman still doing well even though they are not really young, so why can;t rani and priety remain at the top especially since when they both are done up they look much younger than their ages especially when they are in good shape.
