Rani was in industry to have career, not to make friends or not!i don't think there was anything wrong in it, it's not like srk removed aish for Rani!he removed her(which was wrong), and then approached her. It was totally career oriented move, i don't know what's wrong in it!
and plus, SRK was an equally close friend of RANI's...she was stuck from both sides, i think SRK wouldve been very upset if rani would've tried working things between ash and him because that clearly WASNT the time...because, he had already suffered a lose through production being halted.......i mean its a tough situation you know...i cant say Ash was wrong and then i cant say Rani was wrong either.....but i don't think a patch up is possible, especially now that Ash is a BACHCHAN...its risen her head further into the clouds....

I completely agree with you. Rani is a professional, she was offered the role and she accepted it. It's not like she asked SRK to remove Ash from the film. And at the end of the day, the filmi duniya is very competitive and everyone wants to succeed. Why would Rani, or any other actress want to miss out on a film opp. SRK? There aren't many! But it's obvious that this incident has changed the equation between Rani- Ash and that is a shame.

It's not about 'making friends'; it's about keeping the ones you had pre-stardom. That speaks volumes for one aspect of the person Rani is.The "wrong" part in this equation lies in the fact that at the time which it happened, Rani and Aishwarya were good friends. Even if she did accept the role without asking for Aish's opinion on it (Point of clarification - I don't think she should have asked acceptance for doing the role because like you said it was a career-oriented move and smart on her part), she should have had the courtesy to inform Aishwarya that she was replaced considering their alleged 'strong friendship' rather than letting her find out from a third source. That was inconsiderate and insensitive on her part. All the same however, I feel both of them are being immature over it - I'd understand the cold war if one cheated on the other with said other's fiance however, that's not the case here - but then again, I don't know the whole story.Something to consider: What if it had been the other way around? What if it had been Aishwarya that had been the replacement? Wouldn't people then claim that she "had her head in the clouds" and was 'unbelievably arrogant'? Why should it be any different for Rani? Merely because she's your (Not you specifically; more generalized) favourite?

Its not about being professional, its about having loyalty/consideration to someone you publically regard as a "friend"..
if i am in a huge personal turmoil and I lose my job without any fault of my own then learn through a third person that my so called "friend" has got the same job, i wouldn't want to have anything to do with such friends.. also, if i was in a situation where i know my good friend is in a personal mess working at her job one day and her employer (doesn't matter if i am their 2 AM friend or not) asks for me to replace her, I would have enough conscience to tell my friend that I am being offered the job..

I understand your point and I appreciate it. But I don't think it's Rani's fault and at the same time I don't really think it's the fault of Ash either. I'm not saying that one should lose friends in the process of making a career. Unfortunately it does happen and happens quite a lot. I'm actually not placing the blame on either party and I'm not really going to defend anyone either because I actually don't know what happened between the once upon a time friends. Everday there is a new fall-out in Bollywood, how many can we keep up with!
