Exclusive! Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif still an item!
August 4, 2008 (Sawf News) - Reports that Katrina Kaif had kicked boyfriend Salman Khan to the curb because he had shamed her with his unprovoked outburst against Shah Rukh Khan on her 24th birthday on July 16 are media concoction. The two are still an item!
A Mumbai tabloid recently reported the Salman - Katrina split in its lead story that was lapped up by TV news channels without any due diligence. The channels immediately started to air 30 minute "Specials" on the split, spicing the tabloid falsehood with innuendos holding 'bad boy' Salman responsible for the split.
After maintaining a dignified silence over the raging controversy that made excellent tabloid fodder, the couple has signaled that they are very much together.
An eye witness saw them enjoying a cozy dinner together at Mumbai's five star hotel, JW Marriott, late night on Wednesday, 30th July.
"Salman arrived first and sat on a table he had reserved in advance. He went over the menu as he waited for his partner to arrive," says our source.
"Around 15 minutes later Katrina came in and the couple hugged each other and she sat across the table. A lot of onlookers stared at them open mouthed, much to the amusement of the couple who remained besotted with each other and completely oblivious to the excitement that they were generating. There was no awkwardness between the two that hinted at a strained relationship. They were there for around an hour and left together."
A shooting schedule of Yuvraaj, in which the two real life lovers are paired romantically on screen is currently underway in Filmcity and also Goregaon's Filmistan Studios. Unit insiders tell us that the set lights up when the couple shoot together. All the cast and crew including Anil Kapoor and filmmaker Subhash Ghai are having a lot of fun shooting together.
Clearly, recent reports of a split, and past reports of a strain in the couple's relationship, is wishful thinking at best and malicious reporting at worst.
