I posted it in the other thread; however the MODS locked it. Im posting this here for all to read so that you dont become a victim or somebody like Rajiv in real life. I don't see why would they lock it when we were discussing a very important issue that lurks around the corner in our lives.

As I said before the predators are often the ones with position of trust, they play their victims will with varied temperaments in order to make them gullible and strike when the least expected.

If everyone can educate themselves by few steps then it would go a long way in sexual harrassment, molestation, date rapes, being taken advantage of etc..

We are all blessed with the ability to draw the line. We know well when and where it is but we often let others cross and there lies in the problem because it gives an advantage to the opportunist to go for the kill.

Keeping your personal space, not mingling in alone, raising your hands up palms facing the person, making eye contact, backing off a few steps will usually send the message across to the predator that now is not the best time.

She should have dealt with this like Aashka did that night with Santosh. It is never a good idea to sit down and resolve issues at middle of night unbeknownst to others when you are dealing with perverts.

Also keeping at arms length away and not letting anyone in your personal space is the way to go.

Too many wierdo's out there, and its not just women but men too need to watch out for predators like Rajeev. Having predefined limits and where to draw the line is INTEGRAL to ensure that this does not happen to you regardless of who and in what state you are dealing with said person.

Women and to some extent Men, there is a lot of power in the word NO, please try to use it as often as you can, if you stand up for yourself you can greatly reduce the chances of becoming a victim.

Thank you for reading!

A friend of mine fell for a guy from India; she went absolutely nuts for him. She thought he was the best thing that happened to her and was so deeply invested in him that she was planning in her mind to get married and perhaps sponsor him to Canada.

I tried telling her and watching out for her, but she misunderstood my intentions and would have none of it.

Anyway she made a poor choice in a heat of the moment, and the guy told her to take off her top in front of web-camera. They used to cam a lot before that so she trusted him and took it off. The bas***d screenshot her in her bra and uploaded her picture on the internet!!!

Before you knew it the picture was everywhere and she was devastated. She stopped going to college; helping her parents business and started confining herself. Since then it has been an ongoing battle for her and she is forever traumatized.

I agree she made a very stupid mistake and it was very dumb of her to do, but she got carried away and put her faith and trust in somebody she thought she could rely on -- BIG MISTAKE. 😭

A couple of things which are often seen in such cases:-

1 Usually the person is in a position of authority for the victim
And/Or
2. The person usually appears to be a victim and emotionally hurt.

More of ten than not in the first case the victim is too traumatized to speak up or confide to anyone else of exploitation.

In the second case most people are sympathetic specially women slowly from playing a victim themselves, they starts emotional manipulation and before the lady knows it, she falls into the trap and is victimized and in many cases leads to further victimization through black mail.

This is a very good and useful thread. But I think it is a bit too much to call Rajeev a sexual predator. I don't think he is so bad. He is a tharki no doubt, but he is more of an overexcited puppy type. I feel its too cruel to put him in the category of a predator.

BTW : When Sana said 'don't touch me', he never tried to violate her space and behaved like a sulky schoolboy. Only later on when she herself came close to him, he unleashed his tharkiness and she too didn't seem to mind. Surely as a woman in the film industry from so many years, she knows to differentiate between a flirt and a predator!??!?

PS : I am no fan of Rajeev

OMG

There are too many bas***ds roaming around. I can't believe it happened to one of your close buddies. I just posted the video of Amanda Todd, from BC, on Fishy Kapoor AT who went through something similar and she ended up killing herself 😭😭

Man, virtual world can be so creepy and messed up. People really have to be cautious with whom they are dealing with.

With Amanda Todd it was just a bunch of strangers who were hating on her. Here it was done by her would-be husband. Can you believe that? The one who is suppose to take care of you for the rest of your life and perhaps grow old with can do such thing?

Apparently he thought to show it to his friends, and called everyone unbeknownst to her in front of his computer. All his buddies took a peak and the picture's somehow landed up on the internet. At first her parents were unsupportive and mad at her for disrespecting their family name etc. 😔

There was this one particular member whom I believe still a member with new I'd and very popular in debate mansion used to lure all girls on forums with his sweet talk. He charmed everyone including a moderator. There were kids involved too who were heartbroken crying for him. I was his target too almost escaped but still he appears . I know what you mean. Either way, lives are changed and people have suffered at the hands of some assholes. I don't know man, when I hear such incidents, I become speechless to even read about people being so cruel and merciless. I mean what kinda entertainment people are getting out of someone's misery. And better that piece of shit rots in hell than being someone's would-be-husband. I am
at leas glad she doesn't have to live with that crap-fest all her life.

About her parents, well, life of us Desis, everything boils down to the so called societal respect than trying to understand what their daughter went through over a tiny mistake of hers. It's sad that our society has such influence on people's thought process that parents can't see daughter's dilemma, regret and anger. I hope she puts up a brave face and faces the world with dignity and courage. I am sure there are people like you who are with her to encourage her to move on with her life.

I wouldn't go into specifics but I was disappointed to say the least how her family handled this situation. From what Ive heard her father pulled her braid (choti) and her mother tried to rip out her clothes for bringing disrepute to the family and all that.

I offered her a place to stay and they weren't too happy about it either, nor would let her move to any friends house. Finally I had to involve the COPS and they were able to shut them up for good; however nothing else can be done since the Indian police were basically useless and asking money to build a case and wanted the girl to come there and give a statement. 🤢
