Shonali Nagrani, who couldn't make it back into the Bigg Boss house through the wild card entry, will be seen sharing the screen space with the host, Sanjay Dutt. The actress is signed to host the special eviction episode of New Year's Eve. Now, you must be thinking how did this happen? Here goes the entire story behind it:
Salman Khan has maintained a stoic silence on his link ups with Mahek. It seems that, the whole drama about Mahek being evicted from Bigg Boss and being put back on the show was hatched just two weeks before its grand finale was all arranged and pre-planned. The other two nominees for the wild card entry were Shonali Nagrani and Laxmi Narayan Tripathi. They were fully aware of the game plan, with the decision to make Mahek re-enter having been taken even before Mahek was evicted. But at the last moment, it is alleged that Shonali backed out from the entire process on last Monday morning.
As per our sources, "This was done as the makers were keen on having more contestants inside the show for the finale, to make it look good and crowded. So, when they realised that the wild card contest may not materialise with Shonali backing out, the show closed the voting lines after the nominations on Monday evening to save an extra contestant inside. But the makers did not give up and kept convincing Shonali. Finally, the makers and Shonali zeroed down to a barter deal."
The source adds, "The deal was that Shonali will get in the wild card entry contest and the makers will give her a chance to co-host the 'Aapka Farmaan' eviction episode on New Year's eve, along with Sanjay Dutt. Apparently, Shonali discussed this barter deal with Laxmi, who knew about this entire exercise to make Mahek's re-entry look credible on Bigg Boss.
When we contacted Shonali to confirm the same, she said, "Yes, I am co-hosting the show with Sanjay Dutt on the New Year's Eve. It a fantastic feeling to share screen space with Sanjay, he is a superb host and a nice man. For now, I just don't know one thing that if I will get a chance to interact with the inmates. I am craving to do that as well. I think, I am taking Salman Khan's place for one episode (laughs)."
Well, we are sure Shonali will do a good job.
