Need Someone to Root For in BB5!!!!

Call me unrealistic but while I appreciate the voyeuristic (to whatever extent) nature of shows like Bigg Boss and Big Brother which put people in perpetual moral gray areas I also like to root for a truly deserving winner.
Last season it was Sameer Soni for keeping his dignity intact throughout the course of the show and after his elimination it was Shweta Tiwari because she survived the attacks of the season's appointed delightfully devilish villian Dolly Bindra and because her ex was a jerk and a single mother storyline was heartwarming.
This season unfortunately I have no one to root for!! If Raageshwari and Sonika stayed they would definitley get my vote because the former seemed genuinely kind and the latter was bubbly and pregnant (can't hate on a pregnant lady!) or even Laxsmi, although she played the game and not like a saint she atleast had an interesting backstory and is someone whose truely a survivor. Right now its Mahek and Amar just because the former speaks her mind without fearing the consequences and the latter has played hard to stay in the race.
Heres my take on the rest of the bunch:
Sky - I don't care if hes getting the 'villian edit' by Bigg Boss I've seen enough of his nastiness to make up my mind about him and I have this inherent dislike for people who think they are oh so funny.
Juhi - All she does is sleep and lounge around and ask Sky to think of strategies. I have no sympathy for free loaders.
Shonali - Not completely dislikable but not likeable either, the damsel in distress game got old a long time ago. Grow a spine, thats all I can say to her.
Sid - While I don't agree with crazy outbursts and abusive rants he did seem to get his act together but if dude if you are gonna let Sky play you like that, you deserve to get the nomination. Appreciate the fact that he stuck his neck out for Shonali though, she would've thrown him under the bus if she was in his place.
Sunny - way to much of her on the show. Let the girl show her personality, whatever that may be, but stop treating her like shes a pet bunny in a class of elementary schoolers.
As for the wild card entries of the two poojas is concerned, one has delusions of grandeur and the other has persecutory delusions, so no thanks!

Hey, first things first, you should write here more often 👍🏼 good stuff!

My sentiments exactly... though I like few contestants in bits and spurts the biggest disappointment was the assumption by producers that 'this' is what the audience wants...

A po*n star given a task to walk around with a whip to command the men in the house is not even the begining of the pathetic state of affairs🤢

Thank You! 😊 I enjoy reading the forum because I can't get any of my friends to watch this season but most people here have their loyalities with one contestant or the other so I thought my views wouldn't get much readership or lead to any discussions. I watch it because its good tv (or so bad its good!)

I'll say the bottom line is that this season started out with the potential to be a very good one...there was a group of people in the house who could have made good entertainment for the show to keep it running and thriving. The problem though lies in how BB chose to play the game. Changing the precedents of the show by allowing nomination discussion and rule breaking weakened the fun of the game. Obvious manipulation of nominations and evictions by the production team completely ruined it. The creative team did not showcase any entertaining tasks, and neither was BB strict about contestants staying true to them. These people didn't care about the tasks and they didn't care about the rules...so we have had some folks in the house who even question and give dhamkis and time-bound ultimatums to BB 👏 When someone refuses to do work, they don't get punished...when someone says I want to leave, they don't get kicked out as they should. BB is just here to make money during the course of the season by featuring promotions of Vodafone, Bisleri, yadayadayada, and 50 other movies that will be released in this time period. Who cares really about what happens in the house and whether there are any contestants in there who can be rooted for or not? As Amar said...they are just 'content' to fill in the hour of the show, good or bad, doesn't matter...BB is timepassing with them to make money in any which way possible.

She does stand up for herself and makes sense in her arguments so I like that about her. Plus she could've used events in her past (the accident/father's death) to garner audience sympathy but she didn't even say a word in that task they were suppose to talk about themselves and infact it was Juhi who told the housemates about her hardships so thats something to admire The only thing that didn't go down with me was the false statement she made to sunny. Anyhow Mahek should win this because no one else deserves to.

You're so right. Might as well move this show to UTV Bindass, the home of mindless, senseless, silly 'reality shows'. The whole point of reality tv is to make the audience 'care' about the content of the show and its contestants, no matter how many gimmicks they use for shock value. If Bigg Boss continues being a lazy, sorry exuse for reality tv it will lose its loyal audience.

That Bigg Boss chose her as a captain? I guess thats why Sanjay Dutt reprimanded her and Sky last week for not stating things correctly.

no no watch the video again...

when MC was doing her hair and talking to Sunny she said that when BB told to take a name i began to do bhangra

then when MC-Sunny where talking in the pink room by the stairs Mahek said it was a happy moment when BB chose me FOR THE SHOW... she wasnt talking about captaincy but a lot of people assumed she did for some reason😕 ... Sunny even said yeah i just wanted to come here!

Mahek never lied to Sunny!

Sanjay reprimanded her and Sky last week for not stating things correctly about the face incident! Mahek said that he used the words when actually he pointed to his face and Sky said that i didnt say the words but withheld the truth that he pointed to his face and taunted her! but when Mahek took the kasam of her dad she told the full truth to Juhi with actions and all!
