I don't hate anyone. I do dislike his cheap antics and general behavior. You are free to love him and justify everything he does. I won't question.
I don't consider him racist. I just think he's cheap so I'm not surpised at his emphasis on 'Gori'. I expect such things from him.
He doesn't know that she's a po*nstar. Does he? He was just picking a sweet, dal banane wali gori kudi.

maybe he does know about sunny since he is such a cheapo.Atleast he has seen her raunchy pole dance for the audience so he was o.k with his future wife strutting her stuff on national t.v.Anyways you are entitled to your opinion about him, just found it odd that people bash him for an imaginary thing, while we are talking about others people prejudices we have our own prejudiced opinions on what contestants might be in real life.goodbye.

Wicked gal: I'm here to talk about the show and contestants. Amar is a contestant in the show and I'm free to comment on his antics. Am I not?
He could have avoided that 'gori' part. I didn't call him racist. I just think he's cheap. Just like how you have commented on other contestants [don't know if your were prejudiced then], I've every right to judge these contestants.
I didn't even think it was a big deal till this topic specifically mentioned the same. Again, I think Amar is cheap and that's that. No goodbye yet as I'm going to be here for some more time.

I do agree with most of your post though. There is an unhealthy obsession with fair skin in India and we are racist towards our own skin tone. We make our own dark skinned beauties feel insecure.

But I don't expect a show like Big Boss to change that. Modern media is not an educator or path breaker, but it is just a reflective mirror. Such shows reflect fabric of society and the things that sell. Our media is not going to change until we change. Educated people in the nation must take a stand against such attitudes and change the way society thinks. Blaming the media just puts us in circles.

@RTH perfect answer. There is no doubt that Indians are biased towards fair skin tones and very prejudiced towards the darker tones. Everyone of us has seen such treatment around us at some point in time in our lives. We have to stand against such discrimination in the society and as educated folks it is over utmost responsibility to dissude such acts. Every good movement starts at home and then only ican become a mass movement aimed at addressing such evils.

Yeah But the stress on gora was a bit off putting. He kept repeating gora at least 3 times. I was kind of weirded out by it. And no he dosen't know about sunny's background so he doesn't get any points for intentionally choosing a po*nstar.

Also this whole hype around Sunny is bcoz she is this fair girl with a slightly foreign accent which is always a big hit with us Indians. Our obsession with fairness and foreign. . Catch our filmmakers being as excited about Sunny if she was not fair. Arrey if Mbhatt wanted a po*n star to convey sadness or bs as he is been saying then take someone from the indian po*n industry.

i doubt that M Bhatt is thinking of casting SL for her fair skin.
after all, he launched Bipasha Basu and another actress whose name i dont recollect in his movie based on the po*n industry - kalyug...Deepali Shah or smthing...😕

in fact i dont think any other filmmaker would have launched SL as a lead in a Bollywood movie because there would have been protests from the moral brigade.

MB of course thrives on controversy. i have heard his lone voice advocating legalization of the po*n industry.

Yeah MB did launch Bips who is dusky. Guess I was wrong regarding MB's intentions.

But boy this fair obsession really pisses me off. Plenty of girls in India suffer discrimination because of their skin colour. Movies and tv serials only perpetuate this fair obsession. And to see Amar keep stressing on the fair factor was horrible. He's ,lost me now totally. For me he and Juhi are the worst contestants

What's big deal if amar said he want fair girl...first of all it was task...secondly,if we r talking abt indian ppl, then i think there is nothing wrong if a individual have his own choice.

if anyone want fair skin girl as his bride or gf,what's wrong in that? Most ppl want dark skin girl as their bride too...

why anyone hope that indian ppl should only prefer dark skin girls,...in india there r many fair skin girls also,r they not indian??...

This is not racist or anything like that...everyone has their choice...
