Here's a random article stating 5 reasons for Shakti's ouster: http://www.bollywoodmantra.com/news/why-shakti-kapoor-s-reign-in-bigg-boss-could-end-this-week/8091/

The PR expert states 5 reasons, why Shakti Kapoor could be ousted from Bigg Boss this week. He says:

1) Shradha Sharma, Pooja Bedi and Mahek Chahal may be lesser known compared to Shaktiji, but Shaktiji has lost out on a lot of drama and loyal fans in the last week, which would directly affect the votes he gets this week.

2) Shaktiji was seen (and more importantly, perceived) playing politics with other Housemates, which has diminished his hold over the House where he reigned as the most popular Captain of the House once.

3) He has received flack for slapping Miss Afghanistan, Vida Samadzai's butt on the show.

4) His long-time friend Pooja Bedi, with her consistent attacks on Shaktiji, has 'branded' him a person who 'bitches', 'back-bites, is 'not a gentleman' or a 'good family man'. Whether we like it or not, the fact is that Pooja and her followers have tarnished Shaktiji's image on the show.

5) Currently, Shaktiji has zero back-up support outside the House. There is no professional PR machinery or management agency, lobbying or routing for him. This will largely affect the number of votes he gets in this crucial time.

I think it's either Maneka Gandhi or PETA people who voted for other three and sent Shakti packing for not saving that poor little bird from the pool. 😆

On a serious note, I don't think that Salman had any role in this eviction because he could have stopped Shakti's entry into the show too which he didn't but…but why deprive Shakti of that dowdy 'Being Human' watch? Big stars and their bigger egos.
Shakti Kapoor as a contestant deserved some parting gift.

I personally think that he was evicted by votes and not voluntary exit. If Shakti was on the show to change his image, then he was not totally done. He could have stayed a little longer to change the public perception.

Ha Ha that was hilarious. Didn't we joke about it in the first week when he mentioned that? He should have checked into Alcoholics Anonymous. Now that's another possibility. Maybe he was under so much stress that he either asked BB for eviction or nice Single malt Scotch. 😆
Bedi and others already dhajjiya udaofied his image. Moreover even after nomination, he couldn't control jumping onto Shonali and Vida. So I don't think his further stay would have helped that cause. He lost his strategy and I think he just lost interest in the game.

Something was fishy about today's elimination. Glad he's out though if he was going to roam around the house like a silent ghost and cry alone at night in front of cameras to garner sympathy. What did he think was going to happen anyway - he'd play his games silently and everyone would just let him? And did he seriously mistake the BB house for some kind of rehab?!

Don't think Salman had anything to do with it - if that was the case, he wouldn't be on the show in the first place. I think it was a combination of him realizing this wasn't helping his image like he originally thought it would (no, DUH!) - Bedi took good care of that! And BB also realized that now that his strategy was out in the open and he had retracted into his shell, he wasn't going to be of any use anyway.

Hope PETA sues him for killing that bird!

Oh, yes.
I know he has a contemptible image outside and even in the house his caressing Vida's behind was shameful, still it was not nice seeing an old man isolated and shedding tears on TV. I felt bad.
Good that he's out. I wish he could take good-for-nothing Vida along. 😆

That is true. I felt bad for his family, especially his kids, when all those accusations were hurled about his character. Regardless of his behavior, I think Bedi should have thought about what she was saying. His behavior with Vida and Shraddha was wrong and intolerable to watch on the screen, but I'm sure it hurt his wife and kids more when Bedi recounted all the instances where he was not acting like a respectable, "family" man.

Edit: I don't think we're going to see Vida much longer. She'll be out in the next few weeks. She's also uber annoying!

Still they earned so much popularity and went on winning/almost winning the show..
Morever Shakti has always played a negative role- he had no pre-fan base anyway.
He simply failed to do anything in the house to gain popularity and went out.
Pre-fan base has almost nothing to do with this show.. otherwise Big Boss should simply call for a voting without putting the guys in the house.. what is the purpose of the show then??

I do not know about Mehek but Shraddha has gained all anti PB votes.. I have voted for her 10 times just because how she returned her ill treatment to PB.. I never knew who Shraddha is before this but that has nothing to do with voting..

Okay, we get it that you vote purely based on their conduct in the house but you also gotta know that not everyone will subscribe to your philosophy. Some will vote based on how often they spice things up with fights while others will vote based on how calm they are. To each its own.
And let's say that the show truly operates on our votes and that Desh Ka Aadesh is not at all corrupted by the show ensemble. Even then, how these people behave in the house makes for only a small part of the reason why they get votes. These inmates didn't enter the show with a clean slate. They have already built up their reputation in the community and people already know them before they enter the house. Juhi Paramar was already known as Kumkum, Nihita was already a wife of a serial killer and Shakti Kapoor was already the bad guy of b'wood movies. They didn't just pick these people off the street, y'know. That would be like Jersey Shore where losers made it big BECAUSE of the show. These people on the other hand, are on the show BECAUSE of their identity out of the house. That means they have a pre-fan base who root for them despite their behavior in the house. And that makes a notable difference in the vote count.
