Rahul Roy beat hot favourites Carol Gracias and Ravi Kishen to win the Rs 50 lakh prize money in the Big Boss finale. The actor who was nicknamed 'Baba' on the show for consistently being composed and controlled throughout the 84 days of drama, fights and politics surprised many by winning. Ravi Kishen on the other hand, who everyone expected to win, thanks to his popularity in Bhojpuri films, was stunned to find himself getting evicted one hour before the winner was declared.

His loss is Rahul's gain because the thrilled actor says, "It's truly a memorable moment for me. I have come out a much stronger person. Living in the Bigg Boss house without any contact and means of communication with the outside world is the toughest job I have ever done in my life. The house was luxurious but it was a jail. Living there even for seven days was tough. Lasting till the end in itself was a victory. Winning the game is double bonanza. I am really thankful to Hanumanji."

He says God gave him the strength to last out till the end. "Whenever I felt uneasy, lonely, low, tired or dissatisfied I would pray to Hanumanji for strength and patience. It was not easy to stay in a house like a normal person for so long where moods and life changed every hour and day. Each day was a new day with its own problems, moments of happiness and sadness." He continues to gush that his debut film Aashiqui, which was a huge, hit was the first high.

Bigg Boss, in Rahul's opinion is a psychological game. "It was not difficult to crack and go berserk. But being normal and nice to everyone was very difficult. Others cracked because they couldn't hold themselves together mentally. I don't have ill feelings towards anyone," says Rahul. He also thanks his wife for the valuable advice she gave him. "I am thankful to my wife who had advised me to remain calm, be myself, be honest and have faith in God. I am also thankful to my father-in-law who is my spiritual guru."

The actor also admits that he was surprised when Ravi Kishen got evicted. "The game could have gone his way because both of us had a 50:50 chance of winning," he says, adding, his personal choice would have been Carol though he bonded the most with Ravi. "Not being from the film industry and having always run away from filmi people, it was amazing to see her living and adjusting with the very same people. On top of that she couldn't speak Hindi but managed to mingle with everyone. This just shows her poise and inner strength."

He is also full of praise for Rakhi Sawant. "She is a nice girl. Her tit-for-tat attitude and lack of diplomatic skills proved to be her major drawbacks. Otherwise she is a very good human being," he says. When asked what he would like to do with the money he won he said would like to donate a certain percentage to a children's charity. "But right now I am thinking of my wife Lakshmi who is in Sydney. At the earliest opportunity I will go to Australia to meet her," he said. As for his failed acting career, he said he would like to make a comseback as an actor. "But I am also looking at directing films," he added.
