Bigg Boss Day 77: Amit Sadh is out
The audience decides everybody's fate. And this week they voted Amit Sadh out. As soon as Arshad declared his name for eviction Amit jumped up with joy. But when he saw the housemates around him, he started to cry. He hugged everyone and walked out with his bag looking sad, yet excited. Of course, the excitement was because he was going to meet his girlfriend Neeru after a very long time. Amit was aggressive yet entertaining: Amit has been a hot favourite to win the show. He was the least nominated person in the house and was also a favourite with the housemates. His unstable and aggressive nature was quite entertaining and his obsession for his girlfriend Neeru quite touching. We've seen him crying buckets when Neeru sent him gifts for New Year. Though his crazy nature irritated the other housemates, he was a loveable soul. We wish the hero of the house all the best. A brave Rakhi confronts the housemates: Finally, after spending the day isolated and dejected, Rakhi decided to confront the housemates. She went into the blue room to talk. However, instead of listening, everybody pounced on her and didn't give her an opportunity to speak. Rakhi displayed amazing patience and listened to everybody first. Then she gave it back with style. She cleared her point about Ravi's love triangle, Amit and Neeru's relationship and what she had said about Rahul and Amit. Lastly she revealed Kashmera's true face and told everybody what she had bitched about. Kash didn't know where to hide. Amit left the bedroom knowing that he would be Rakhi's next target. But our gutsy girl stood up for her beliefs and defended herself confidently.

Meet Madhubala, the elephant: After the hen, chicks and the pug, a huge elephant has entered the house as a guest. And guess what? The elephant's name is Madhumala. She loves eating jaggery and understands only Bhojpuri. So obviously the Bhojpuri superstar Ravi was the one who got friendly with her. He even gave her a good shower. Rakhi didn't wanted to stay away either. She recited Ganapati aarti and shlokas and gave her bananas to eat. Later, we saw poor Amit clearing her dung. A hilarious scene indeed!

Next to go? Rakhi Sawant sits pensive at the Bigg Boss house
For the five people left in the Bigg Boss house, the last six days are proving to be the toughest. Everyone's obviously very excited about the end of this long stay.
Today, Carol says she expects the game to get tougher and loves the brain behind its creation, while Ravi and Rahul are keeping their guard up for more surprises.
So, while everybody is expecting a new shocker from Bigg Boss, the boss asks them to gather up all their belongings for the final day.
Nominations, now out in the open, have become a problem for all the inmates in the past two weeks. Since yesterday, they were jittery about doing it again. Rakhi has even befriended Kashmera. And Rahul and Ravi wonder who they should nominate this time.
But Bigg Boss hands them all a reprieve by telling them there would be no nominations this week. That's when they all jump out of their seats and start hugging each other.

No 'Big Brother' for Arshad
Lata Jha
Tuesday, January 23, 2007 23:59 IST

As host on 'Big Brother's' desi counterpart 'Bigg Boss', Arshad Warsi had planned to go to London and connect with Shilpa Shetty. The plan's on hold for now.

"I was supposed to go there with a message for Shilpa and her audience. But then I was told I could not talk about anything controversial, including the racial row! How could I represent my country in front of millions and not make a mention of the issues that are bothering everyone? I'd have looked like a fool. If I've to just say hello to Shilpa I'll say it from home. Why go all the way to London?" reasons Arshad wisely.

He leaves for London anyway at the end of the month. "To shoot for Vivek Agnihotri's 'Goal'. We complete the film in three months. I'm already missing home."

When he returns Arshad has another dilemma drawing his attention.

"I have to shoot for two films simultaneously. I've never done that before. It's scary to keep visiting two different characters on two different sets and crew at the same time. However the two films, Ajay Devgan's 'Sunday' (directed by Rohit Shetty) and Anil Kapoor's 'Shortcut', were too tempting to let go. So I've broken the rule, just this once."

Incidentally Lara Dutta has opted out of 'Shortcut'. The buzz is that she didn't want to be featured in a film with Arshad.

Arshad shrugs, "It couldn't have had anything to do with me because I don't have a heroine opposite me. Lara was to be cast opposite Akshaye Khanna. So if it's anyone's loss, it's his."

Sleeping partner: Carol clutches on to the egg she has been assigned to take care of as part of the Bigg Boss task

Hullabaloo in the Bigg Boss orchard! With just about a week more to go before the show reaches its grand finale, the residents are getting more and more introspective. But that doesn't stop the most unexpected things from happening.
Bigg Boss seems intent on not letting up on the increasingly bizarre tasks, reports Sowmya Rajaram.
Everybody is given an egg. They have to 'take care of the sentiments of the egg' and be with it the entire day, name it, talk to it and make sure it is treated well and is kept happy. The only time they're allowed to leave the egg, is when they go to the washroom. And at that time, they have to give it to someone else and make sure it is well taken care of in their absence.
So you have Rakhi, who calls her egg Pinku and asks it to 'say hello to Rahul uncle'. Ravi names his egg Arjun or Birju, while Rahul and Carol, preferring the female gender, name their eggs Aarohi and Nayantara, respectively. Some ande ka funda, this!
The other task is not so much fun. Late last night, everyone was told they have 10 hours to sleep among themselves cumulatively. So they have to decide how much each of them can sleep. This brings out the quieter nature of the people in the house — a side we are yet unacquainted with. So while one person sleeps, the others talk to each other in the garden about their three months in the house so far, the evictees and how the atmosphere in the house meant that no one got to know the other well enough.

Day 79 and 80: Rakhi finally patches up with Kashmera
Item girl Rakhi seems to be becoming sensible every hour. After all the melodrama and accusations, she finally realised that a few days are left and it's more sensible to shake hands with her enemy, than to stay aloof from her. Day 70 began with the song 'Yeh public hain woh sab jaanti hain.' Ravi was quite impressed with the selection of songs from Bigg Boss and said he wanted to know who plays the songs out there. By evening,Rakhi was bored and walked up to Kashmera for patch up. 'Let's be friends again,' she said, and Kash looked surprised. Next, the duo went to the blue room and announced their their decision to patch-up. Rahul looked at Kash and said, 'See I told you that Rakhi will break her resistance in three days1' Kashmera saluted the baba of the house. Confession room chaos: 'Rakhi bahut bholi hain,' said an emotional Ravi in the confession room. He said that she is a very clean-hearted woman and speaks her mind. The reason why she gets 'fasaod' everytime. He has already given her the permission to speak anything she wants. Is Ravi genuine or he is just desperate to win? In the end he broke down, as he said he was missing his family. Carol was adamant about her stand against Rakhi. She said that she will definitely be good to her, but will never be able to be friends with Rakhi. Rahul also admitted that Rakhi has changed as a person and praised her. When asked who he wants to nominate tomorrow, he refused to disclose the names. Rakhi looked very reserved and conscious this time in the confession room. She said she would be careful about what she says from now onwards. About nominations, she said she would choose Kashmera and Carol. The poor thing is not aware that Kash is not a contestant but a guest in the house. Housemates spared of nominations this time: Day 80 began with yet another classy song: Main jhoom jhoom jhoom jhoom jhumru. Rakhi woke up in typical item girl style, shaking her head to the music. It was the nomination day again. Carol looked lost with questions like: Have we changed as persons in the house? At 11:30 am, all the housemates were sitting on the couches, waiting to nominate each other. Bigg Boss announced that there would be no nominations this time. Everybody was happy and hugged each other with joy. Time to pack up: Hey, what's up Bigg boss? He asked the housemates to pack their bags. But six days are still left na? Bigg boss ki baatein, Bigg boss hi jaane. He asked the housemates to pack five people's clothes in a single suitcase. And the rest of the 'saaman' in five different suitcases. Looks like the housemates will have to face some tough days ahead. Contestants are spending sleepless nights: This is the most weird task ever given to the housemates - Jaago sone walo. As expected the toughest part of the game is here. According to this one, the housemates can sleep only for 10 hours in the next few days. The housemates looked quite horrified by the idea. But kya kare? Bigg Boss ka hukam hain. Naach naach ke duniya hila de: The housemates were asked to dance one-after-another without and pause. Ravi started dancing at KANK number. Next he pointed towards Carol who danced at the song Lose Control. Rahul tried hard to shake his legs to the peppy beat of Bluffmaster title track. Rakhi performed on the number Mila mila mila koi mila mila.

After the task, we caught Rakhi and Kashmera chatting on the veranda. Rakhi is a careful girl now, and made every statement by keeping in mind that Kashmera's presence. Bravo girl, the Bigg Boss house has definately made her a more polished personality.

Aryan, Anupama: No more telly romance for us
By: Tushar Joshi

Aryan Vaid and Anupama Varma in Bigg Boss
Preparations are underway for the finale episode of Bigg Boss on the show's Karjat sets.

Sony entertainment television will air a special two-hour episode on Saturday, announcing the proud winner of Rs 50 lakh.

The channel is in talks with all the previous contestants to come together for a finale performance with Arshad Warsi.

However, buzz is that two of the evicted inmates — Bobby Darling and Aryan Vaid — have conveyed their unavailability for the same to the channel.

Show me the money

Bobby Darling
When asked about this, Bobby says, "I don't want to go for the show. Why should I when I have been treated so badly during my eviction? I think I deserved a fair chance, which the channel never gave me."

However, Bobby is ready to perform in the finale if she is paid a reasonable amount. "They have asked me to give them three days for rehearsals, but why should I waste my time when I can make money from other shows? If they pay me good money, I am ready to go."
It is believed that Aryan too wants to stay away from anything to do with Bigg Boss. A close friend reveals, "He is totally put off by his experience on the show. In fact, he asks his parents to change the channel if they are watching Bigg Boss. He is in no mood to come face to face with the entire gang."

When contacted, the actor diplomatically says, "I am not sure. I still have to make my mind up."

Mush no more

It is believed that Aryan might not attend the show because the channel has asked him to perform with Anupama Verma, which both of them have outrightly refused. While Vaid refuses to confirm, Anupama says, "Yes, they did want us to do an act, but we really didn't want to."

Unaware of what she will be doing, Verma says, "I haven't received any details about my performance. But from what I know, it's a group song where all of us will perform with Arshad."

She also adds that most of the contestants have stated they wouldn't be doing any solo acts. "I think everyone has made that clear. It will be interesting to meet the group though."

Final masala

Bigg Boss will be evicting one more inmate tonight. Out of the four remaining contestants, one will leave the house. The housemates are completely unaware of this surprise eviction as didn't know they were up for eviction. The grand finale will be a two-hour long episode telecast from 9 to 11 pm.

Are men bitchy and gossipy?

For almost two months now Bigg Boss has rocked the nation with drama unfolding right into our bedrooms. Post Bigg Boss, it's a revelation that men too gossip and are bitchy. But could it be because they have got hassled staying holed up in the Bigg Boss den for so many weeks and are venting out their frustrations. Their aggravations are finding an outlet through their conversations with each other. Away from family and social contacts, have they been driven to bitch or are men by their very nature bitchy? We ask some tv actresses for their opinion.

Munisha Khatwani:
It's equal as both men and women bitch. Men are less malicious and gossip for fun but some are dangerous since they fib about their female conquests. Male bitching has a shock quotient as they tend to use abusive language Using expletives is common for them. This is evident in Bigg Boss where they have beeped the foul language.

Reena Kapoor :
Men are big hypocrites. They pretend to be disinterested in gossiping but in reality they want to know everything that's happening. In Bigg Boss too, all the men involved have proved to be bitchy and foul-mouthed. They won't ask directly but in a very cloaked manner. One thing for sure is their bitching among themselves is light-hearted and harmless. Also they are ready to forgive and forget whereas women are vengeful.

Poonam Joshi :
In my experience, men gossip more than women. Sometimes, they can even get nasty, especially when they are in a stag group, like in this particular show, they bitch, bitch and bitch. Women do gossip to a certain extent but are always helpful when their friends are in distress.

Shraddha Nigam :
Men also gossip and bitch, the BB show reinstates this, but their style is very matter-of-factly. It's time-pass for them and they don't delve into other's lives. Men really don't care about getting into their pyjamas, which women would love to. Like Kashmira used to bitch and create rift among the participants.

Simple Kaul :
Definitely yes….men love to gossip and bitch. You watch Bigg Boss and the men around there love to gossip, especially about women. Their bitchiness is cheap whereas women are not cheap. Men have the habit of kiss and tell and even if they have not kissed, they will like to flaunt their so-called conquests. They will talk very sweetly on your face but bitch behind your back. While if a woman does not like another, she will make it clear by avoiding her.

Akangsha Rawat :
No, I have some male friends and they do not gossip or bitch at all. So, going by my experience, I would say they are nice human beings who don't talk ill of others. As for the show,I don't get the time to watch and can't comment on it.

Hum confuse ho gaye!

Deepak Tijori and Sanjay Gupta

As a first step towards moving away from his image of making dark, brooding films, director-producer Sanjay Gupta has signed Deepak Tijori to direct an out-and-out comedy.

However, there seems to be a problem as far as the film's title is concerned; while Sanjay Gupta says it's called Hamari Maange Puri Karo, Tijori says it's Hum Honge Kaamyaab!

It's official

Tijori inked the deal with White Feather Productions (the production company owned by Sanjay Gupta and Sanjay Dutt) on Monday. He says, "I was visiting the sets of Sanjay's film Shootout At Lokhandwala. Apoorva (Lakhia) was directing Sanjay Dutt and Neha Dhupia when I walked in. It was there and then that Sanju offered me my official signing amount."

Tijori adds that he was approached by Gupta especially to make a comic caper as part of their plan to make films of all genres with different directors on board. "It's called Hum Honge Kaamyaab, and takes
a look at a bunch of youngsters just before they take on responsibilities in life. It's a light comedy that can be seen by the entire family," he says.

It's different

But producer Gups tells a different story! He says, "Our film is called Hamari Maange Puri Karo and is about five guys who go on a road trip to get laid. It's the first time White Feathers Films is doing something light and sexy — a break from the dark, action films that we normally do. It's a sex comedy but is not a vulgar film."

The film, slated to roll in May, will have five male and four female actors. The cast, which is under finalisation, has some actors from Tijori's Tom, Dick and Harry like Dino Morea and Jimmy Sheirgill. It is learnt that Tusshar Kapoor is also slated to be part of the project.

Meanwhile, Tijori has also begun work on his new project with Baba Films. The film, yet untitled, once again has Dino Morea and Jimmy Sheirgill in the cast.

"It is a musical love story," says Tijori, who returns to Bigg Boss for the finale episode on Saturday. "I still watch Bigg Boss. I love it!"

In Bigg Boss, he had stated that he would offer a film to co-contestant Aryan Vaid once out of Bigg Boss. So will Vaid be part of this project? "I am working with Aryan on another project. For this film, the cast will be of Gupta's choice," says Tijori.

jan lo sari baat! Ravi Kissen and Rahul (below) dress up as women in today's episode of Bigg Boss

The tasks at the house of Bigg Boss, like we said, are only getting more and more bizarre as the date for the completion of the reality show nears.
But we're not complaining, as long as it makes for good television, which it definitely is doing!
So after the care-for-the-egg and the sleep-only-for-two-hours tasks, the residents of the house now have to dress up in drag and pretend to be the other sex and behave like it. We told you it was good TV!
So Carol and Rakhi are dressed up like men and Ravi and Rahul Roy are sari-clad.
This makes for some hilarious viewing seeing the men do their daily chores in saris. But it gets better, reports Sowmya Rajaram.
Ravi and Rahul even perform some items numbers for Rakhi and Carol.
Needless to say, the sight of staid and non-controversial Rahul, maaroing some tumkaas at some racy numbers has the girls in splits.
Both Carol and Rakhi enjoyed the song and dance thoroughly and showered money on the two item boys while applauding them. So will we!
Of course, today's also the day when the surprise eviction happens.
Blissfully unconcerned by the fact that one among the four of them — Carol, Ravi, Rahul and Rakhi — will not be in the house tomorrow, everyone's chilling out. Looks like three months of staying together has worn out everyone's sharp edges. The claws are drawn in and everyone is finally taking things as they come.
Well, for the time being at least.
Watch out for the reactions when they find out who's in and who's out!
