While browsing the BB official website today, this is what I noticed, as one of the voting rules and regulations:

1. The Program is a reality show where individuals/participants staying in the Bigg Boss House will nominate their housemates for eviction from the Program ("Shortlisted Participant"). During the Program, the viewers will be asked to cast their vote for the Shortlisted Participant who they want to evict from further participation in the Program. The Shortlisted Participant who gains the maximum votes from the viewers, will be eliminated from the Program.
What does this mean? At the end of every episode they say VOTE TO SAVE your favourite celebrity from elimination. Meaning if you get the maximum votes, you are safe.
But on the official website, they are saying, the participant getting maximum votes will be eliminated! Confusing, isn't it?

You are right Season 1 had this format. This is also the format followed in BB UK and all. However, it only ended up confusing the viewers since all other contests had voting to SAVE the candidates and not EVICT, so the format was changed from Season 2 onwards. In fact in Season 1 viewers had complained that they had voted to Save their candidates, who ended up getting evicted.

Wow.. this is confusing 😕 voting used to be like this during season 1.. I remember Ravi Kishan complaining that his fans voted for him to win because they didn't understand reverse voting funda.. 😆

This must be the reason for the misprint .... they've just copied the same rules and regulations guideline from season 1 here.
However, it's been 3 yrs since then. When they were updating the contestant names on that page, couldn't they have proof-read it once? 😆

I remember in the first season.. there was alot of confusion. They ask people to vote for housemate they want to evict. They change this in later seasons.
