Shweta made rotis for Rahul, Rahul never asked her to do so.. she tried to elicit his attention, either to make him happy or to show that she cares... the "woo" comment was a tongue-in-cheeck one, seems like it hit a nerve..... aside from that, how do you know that Rahul was forced to have something he didn't want?, first prove that he didn't want rotis... simply not eating rotis isn't tantamount to unwanting them, it doesn't logically follow 😊

This follows logically? There is another quite obvious possibility - material for roti is in excess at the moment and material for daal and sabzi is relatively limited. One person's eating only daal and sabzi means others will need to eat proportionately more roti material and rice because of limited total food material availability.

Another possibility is that not material, but labour for making vegetables is in limited supply compared to labour for making rotis. This includes washing, cutting, sometimes pealing vegetables. There might be numerous other possibilities but these are quite obvious.

Even if you missed these possibilities initially, this is the fourth time I am mentioning such possibilities only to fall on deaf ears. On the other hand, you have started to (pretending to) posting logically only with this last post. It is not your mistake but your logic is faulty.

Shweta said that Rahul only eats daal and sabzi. And that she (Shweta) wants him to eat like normal people. Nobody contradicted her. It is much less of a leap of faith to assume that Rahul doesn't want to eat roti and rice than your assumption of wooing / making him happy / show that she cares.

Rahul didn't ask for roti - but why are you assuming that he wants to eat roti? It follows logically? If you do not ask someone to punch you and still someone punches you, you would think that he/she wants to woo you? You didn't ask to be punched because you do not want to be punched. Rahul didn't ask for roti because he doesn't want roti (one obvious possibility that you ignored).

If someone says that "X person does Y activity", how many times is it that the person is not doing it voluntarily? In fact, in general conversation, if something is not being done voluntarily, it is more likely that the statement will be something like "X person has to do Y activity". Which is why it is not much of a leap of faith to assume that it is voluntary.

I have a female colleague who has worked on the project I am now working on. I asked her for advice and she actually gave me advice. By your logic, it logically follows that she is trying to woo me, right?

Logic fail.
