The main reason was the loads and loads of people who tuned in to see Gauri-Hiten milan. Just watch as the ratings drop now that all Hiten fans plan to boycott this idiotic show. They have more passionate set of fans than many people there combined who have consistently been their fans for over 16+ years. In Nach Baliye despite getting the lowest scores every single time they went to top 3... how do you think that is possible without a passionate set of voters?

The channel would've evicted him regardless of anything else, but this just helped them generate some more drama. If HMs would have voted for him then channel would've said we are evicting based on votes regardless of how many votes he actually received.

There is literally no way of knowing whether Luv actually got more votes than Shilpa, Hiten and Priyank. But as I said it is a joke to think that Hiten does not generate passion in people to vote for him.
