It means "velvet". It's a saying in hindi, "Makhmal mein lapet ke jawab dena"...it means giving an apt or on point reply to someone nicely/softly. Velvet is very soft...hence the idiom "Makhmal mein lapet ke".

He was arrogantly telling Luv that if Luv had chosen him then he would've saved Luv. Vikas in his arrogance was trying to make Luv feel regretful for not making Vikas captain in the last week captaincy task...but Luv didn't care and replied aptly to Vikas that he has no regrets.

Priyank and Luv had a fight earlier where Luv called Priyank "arrogant". Priyank was referring to that fight and telling Luv that "this(Vikas) is arrogance".

Now I get it, thank you so much explaining so lovingly. Thank you!
