What about the man who went from the victim to leader and puts his heart and soul into tasks and the game while maintaining his loyalties and relationships!

Nonsense. We all can see who is playing the victim card slyly.

Fleur, why are people not speaking up against this? I genuinely want to know. Are people plain scared of speaking up for men now? Is that it? Are men ashamed of admitting that a woman abused a man? Hurts their ego, so be in denial or play ignore?

The majority thinks that since he holds some sort of power position, he must have done something so terrible that she is somehow justified in bullying him. Even though there is vid proof of the accuser herself accepting that she was not banned but chose not to work anymore.

Anyway, I think we have a major bias against success and influence.

And regarding men's ego, of course there is that. And it may be difficult for some to fathom that a man can get bullied by a woman. This go against their age old beliefs and perceptions of men being stronger than women. And hence, whenever Vik spoke of the torture he went through, he was termed as a faux victim who is trying to garner sympathy.

Imagine if the roles were reversed - a man harassing a woman for 5 weeks, imitating her, trying to touch her, stomping on her, scratching her, getting all over her body, talking about her sex life on national TV. Hell would have broken loose.

@Uma do you even need an answer to that? The host called him a coward for trying to handle the situation the best way he thought he could. The overall mentality is that he likes men means he's less of a man. He cried means he's less of a man. He tried running away cause he was at his breaking point means he's less of a man. The thought-set is pretty clear with the way the situation was handled.

And now that he's taking part in tasks and everyone is tripping over their feet to outsmart him means he's overbearing, annoying, arrogant blah blah.

There's no winning here.

Have to give credit to her acting skills, eh? To make things look so legitimate. The guy kept saying I haven't seen her more than twice and yet, nobody believed him.

What I find tough is this wasn't a one-off incident. This was continuously happening before our eyes day after day and how well was it downplayed by the media, eh? Nobody much speaks about it today either when we've got a much better picture of Vikas the person. Instead we have some weird celebs shipping the duo!

Every time someone puts up a post calling up for harassment against women be it regards the chocolate incident or Akash's recent kiss one (which was totally blah and I'd have cracked open his balls for that), I wonder where all these voices were when Vikas was being humiliated and much mockery made of a genuine man.

True. It makes a fantastic subject for an academic paper in masculinity studies within the Indian context. The bias couldn't get any more blatant than that. There is simply no way a man could wiggle out of this one with his image intact.

Given all this, Vikas has done tremendously for himself. His mother is so right- her son is a hero!

I am not sure but my if my memory serves me right, media picked up the juicy bits to make eyeball-grabbing headlines but completely missed the bigger picture.

What still bothers me is the blatant disregard for the LGBT community that has been showed by the HMs time and again. Where was the outrage against homophobia? People went crazy over Hina expressing her opinions on actors but demeaning a community struggling to secure rights never caught their attention.

I still rememer what sort of backlash James Jordan received on social media when he told a contestant that he is used to play with the soft boys and asked him to play with the real boys on BB UK. Vikas actually had to endure much more explicit and borderline traumatizing homophobic bullying.
