When it was announced that Zubair Khan
was part of Bigg Boss 11's contestant list,
people were curious to know more about
the man who was the son-in-law of the late
Haseena Parkar. As you know by now,
Haseena Parkar was one of the rare few
female dons who ruled the Bombay
underworld on behalf of her fugitive elder
brother, the dreaded Dawood Ibrahim who
is currently in Pakistan. A movie has been
recently made on her life, Haseena Parkar,
with Shraddha Kapoor playing the titular
character and her elder brother Siddhant
playing Dawood.
But not many know that Zubair himself is a
director and has made a movie on
underworld himself. The movie was called
Lakeer Ka Fakeer. Another interesting aspect
about the movie is that it starred the
controversial actor Ajaz Khan, who himself
was in Bigg Boss season 8. Ajaz is a diehard
admirer of the Bigg Boss host Salman Khan
and is often in news for some very
outrageous statements.
Coming to the movie, Zubair's movie Lakeer
Ka Fakeer was inspired by the lives of the
underworld dons of Mumbai, and was about
the lives of youngsters from Nagpada, Chor
Bazar, Bhendi Bazar and Dongri who get
exploited by both the underworld and
politicians. In an earlier interview to TOI, he
had said, "The theme is the underworld-
politician-police nexus. My film, titled Lakeer
Ka Fakeer, will be the most authentic movie
on the underworld. I grew up in this area
and have seen everything from close
quarters. I have even shot at all the real
locations associated with Dawood,
something which no filmmaker including
Ram Gopal Varma has access to. The movie,
however, got very limited release and sank
without a trace at the box office.

Though he is known as Haseena Parkar's
son-in-law, Zubair Khan is estranged with
his wife and has claimed that her family
didn't even allow him to meet his kids. In an
interview to India Today, he had said "My in-
laws have been making my life difficult. My
marriage was a lie and now they have
snatched my kids. Bigg Boss is the right
opportunity for me to reach out to public
and tell them what happened with me. I will
teach them a lesson after coming out of the
house. My wife was 12-year-old when I
married her, she was a kid. I have literally
raised her and still she stabbed me in the
back. Now, I will make my wife jealous
through Bigg Boss. I will make a girlfriend. I
don't want to fight with guns and goons, if
you are going to play with my heart, I will
play with your mind.
