Plus, some people are comparing him to Gandhiji. Well, one part is certainly true and that is that Gandhiji raised his hand on his wife too - as admitted by him in his autobiography. He deeply regretted those acts of his and treated his wife with respect as he matured. Is this the part you were trying to glorify in Armaan? Gandhiji did it when he was a young lad. He repented when he grew older. How much older do you think Armaan has to get before he realizes how wrong he was? He is 45+ for God's sake! And this is not his first time. He has many similar offences against him and is out on bail because of his family connections. Gandhiji, inspite of being an initial wife beater, repented and spent his entire life eradicating social evils and fighting for Independence. He advocated non violence and reformed himself to meet his ideals. Armaan Kohli has no such noble aspirations and takes great joy in using his height to intimidate women.

Also, Sophia was RIGHT in pushing Armaan. He was getting uncomfortably close to her face and any woman would feel frightened at such a hulking man coming that close to her. Would you not have done the same? Or would you have asked "are you doing this from your heart" first?

Secondly, it was NOT an accident! The police does not register mythical cases. They asked for footage and the footage proved that Armaan had been violent towards Sophia on purpose. If you view the previous episodes too, Armaan himself showed through actions what he had done to Sophia. He never said it was an accident. He said it didn't even hurt her and that he was just trying to prevent her getting close using the handle. So please watch the WKW where Salman questions Armaan on this. Also, realize that the police would not have accepted the case had these things not been true.

Thirdly, as a woman I find it disappointing how some women are not willing to support one of their own. So what if its for publicity? Point is not whether Sophia is in it to earn fame but that the charges she has levied are valid and true! Armaan is not an innocent man who is being prosecuted but a habitual offender. How can anyone justify supporting such a man? Is it the entertainment he provides you? That is the reason you wish to support such men? If so, India is in a sorrier state than I originally thought.
