I am so upset and shocked that in the year 2013 almost 2014 that people are actually saying that what Sofia did was wrong. What did she do so bad.. Stand up for herself to a rich man in India .
Everyone saw the clip and everyone knows of Armaans temper and has come across it once in that house so how can all of these people sit and say that it was wrong of her and that she wants to get publicity. Why would she risk her own image just to get back at Armaan? why would she risk her career that has just started in India so she can put someone behind bars? TO say she is doing it for publicity is wrong and shameful. Not too long ago young girl was raped, beaten up and thrown out to die all because she took the bus home and get killed for it, and no one helped her. This is the same India where girls are killed each and every day, where they are raped and murdered each day just because they are girls. This is the same India where girls are married off at an young age. this is the same India where girls are sold for land, money, food. This is the same India where girls are beaten on a daily on a minute bases..
Why cannot there for a change me a India where a girl stands up for her own right when a man puts his hands on her that he has no right on. Why cannt for once in this India females support one another instead of putting each other down and discussing her clothing and what she does for a living to justice what happen to her.
Why cant this be the India where a girl can not fear the second she leaves her home that she will not be bothered, beaten, kidnapped, raped,murdered,
I think what Sofia did was right. She is showing the young Indian women that no person has the right to put there hands on you and to call you names, to yell at you to make you cry, to cause you pain. This is what the young Indian girls need to learn that they do not have to put up with men raising there hand on them because they had too much to drink , because she did not get the food out sooner, because she is a women.
I think we as a women need to praise her for standing up to a rich, famous, family that has a lot of friends in a lot of high places. She knows that her name will be on headlines,but not for her new song album or new movie but because she put a case against Salman Khans friend, and a directors son. She understands that her career just starting in India could very well be over because of this.
