Who is Salman's 'everyone'

Anything happens and Salman keeps talking about what India thinks or what people have been texting him. Who texts him?? Does the whole India have his personal number and text him weekly? His world is not the whole India. His India is the India of people like Armaan and Tanisha, the upperclass famous people which is a very small portion of India. So why does he keep acting like because of his text message he knows what the whole country is thinking. Does he know the views of older people from small town who might be watching the show. Does he get text messages from 20 year olds like us?
