If I remember it right and if the grapewine magazines like Stardust, Cine Blitz etc are to be believed, there were lots of reports of Ayesha actually living in Kohli household holding an 'almost-Bahu' status.

Then there was this breakup, with gossips about a very abusive relationship (as expected) from Armaan's side.

This poor young lady sacrificed a shining career for a loser who turned out to be a typical Filmy brat, a serial abuser, and a hit and run to his credit.

Contrary to the popular belief, Bhagyashree did not really quit after MPK. She never sacrificed her career for marriage. Riding on the MPK wave of success, and already married when she was working in MPK, she apparently made it a condition that she would act only against her husband Himalaya Dasani. Some producers tried that too, and the movies (Qaid Mein Hai Bulbul, Tyaagi, Paayal) were super duper flops. Nobody dared take them together after those movies and Himalaya 9only) called it quites.
Bhagyashree removed the conditions and tried to keep working, tried going down South, doing TV (again) and got some movie or the other once in a while. None of her effort after MPK (that she can get credit for) was any success worth mention.

Ayesha Jhulka, on the contrary, has much more number of movies and hits (like JJWS, Khiladi, Mashooq, Masoom etc) than Bhagyashree to her credit. She never quit movies either, but refused some very good movies during the mid-nineties due to her link-up with Armaan and an apparent condition that just like Armaan's Mom, she would have to leave the industry after marriage if she were to become a Kohli bahu.

Here it is said that akshay dumped ayesha but it was after their hit film khiladi ... when akshay asked ayesha julka to marry him... but she refused it, as she thought she could find a true love in armaan kohli

she ended up marrying some real estate tycoon? doesn't sound like anyone needs to be sad for her or her life was ruined of some failed relationship in the 90's..

gosh! people usually move on from a breakup no matter how sad it is at the time..its not end of the world.. and it looks like she got an upgrade.. no need to feel sorry for her or be sad for her LOL

True, but this Armaan thing happened in mid-nineties. Ditching and breakups were a bigger deal compared to today. She was really down with the break up. That explains just one release with Ayesha as a heroine in 1995 [4-5 releases was her average until then]. Later she recovered, but the golden period was lost.
