The girl reported it (though not to the police), and this guy's email became public, otherwise we wouldn't have known about it. This is nothing new, only that it has come into public domain. Indian journalists are the most corrupt lot after politicians and bureaucrats.

Sana Sarwar has uploaded some pics of Sangram Singh in newspapers or photoshopped we don't know, but nowhere has he said about his achievements. Like why is he being felicitated, for what achievement, its not stated and never will be. I have many pictures where I am getting awards from local politicians for my performance in cultural programmes or debates in local competition. Should I also upload them and claim that I have won a Commonwealth medal?

The only picture that is worth watching is the one in which Sangram Singh is getting felicitated by APJ Abdul Kalam. Now, someone who knows official protocol would know that in this picture, Mr Kalam is not the president, this picture has been taken (if and only if it is not photoshopped) after his term as the president of India got over, because there are many people standing on the stage with him. On the contrary, when the President of India is on the stage, no one is allowed so close to him due to security and protocol reasons.

So Sangram Singh was getting this award not by the President but the ex-president. Something I would like to share about Mr Kalam is that he is such a nice person that whenever he is invited to a function related to kids and youth, he generally obliges. So clearly, he hasn't got an award from the President. Plz don't spread such falsehoods.

Don't you know how to read? My post about the tehelka editor was obviously a continuation of my earlier post in which I had replied to repeated queries by naive posters who kept asking why Sangram was not exposed in media. I was obviously providing an example of the kind of clownish criminals who run media in our country.

You should have asked this question to SanaSarwar who has posted several pictures of Sangram unrelated to the topic which is clearly about the false claim of commonwealth gold medal and not about him receiving awards or felicitations. Neither the awards nor the newspaper clippings are of any relevance to the topic as they don't prove that he won a gold medal at commonwealth wrestling games.

It was getting a bit amusing of sorts to see some make it as if I have some personal agenda against Sangram.

My only grouse with him is he has made a false claim of a Gold Medal in Commonwealth Wrestling and his AWARDS, do not hold up to any serious scrutiny.👎🏼

@Sana: I appreciate your efforts to make a case for Sangram. I won't go on repeating myself. Kindly flip back to previous pages where I showed a serving President giving Presidential Award. If you compare the settings and pics you will get your own answers.

I found out the details of RAJIV GANDHI AWARD, got a confirmatory e-mail from organizers behind this award, myself confirmed a few pages back that Sangram has indeed received this 'Award' and gave the reality of this 'Award' as well as those behind it, a few pages back.😊

What does a local paper posting pics of three villagers around Sangram and reporting he has been conferred a 'CROWN AWARD', has to do with Sangram website claiming he won a GOLD MEDAL IN COMMONWEALTH WRESTLING 2006 at South Africa? 😲

Would help me correct my own impressions if you or any one else could prove when and where did he won a Gold Medal in Commonwealth Wrestling!😊

He made a related point that Media in India is in a deplorable state. Many newshouses work according to their own agendas and his point is do not expect Media to be always alert to issues that they have no stakes / interest in.

Let me give you two examples:

1. NDTV is a pro Congress (may be pro establishment) Channel. Any time a big Government scam gets revealed, you can trust this channel to invite same set of people who have been making a case against Narendra Modi over 2002 Gujarat riots and show a discussion where there won't be a mention of Coal / CWG scam in 2012/13...but, how Gujarat Government did not behave as it should have in 2002!...If only their efforts wouldn't be so farcical, they could be considered huge comic ones! 😆

2. Watch NDTV or CNN-IBN or even TIMES NOW (where atleast Arnab Goswami has some conscience and doesn't do a blatant Congress swing like Barkha-Nidhi of NDTV or Rajdeep-Sagarika of CNN-IBN). Standard tactic is, every time Government is facing a rough scene, they show a 'panel discussion'. Panel comprises of say, Nirmala Sitharaman representing BJP, Manish Tewary / Sanjay Sharma screaming loudly for Government and as if these two gentlemen are not obnoxious enough, they are provided additional reinforcement in form of Vinod Sharma (Congressi News editor Hindustan Times), Kumar Ketkar (Congressi editor Jan Satta) or Vinod Mehta (Congressi editor-Outlook). The hapless woman from BJP is in a 3 against 1 scenario on a daily basis and not willing to dare facing a libel suit, can't even accuse these 'Journalist panelists' of being Congressi stooges. (Believe me till date they found nothing wrong in any scam that Congress tossed in our direction, so periodically).🤢

There is so much money to be made. Mayawati paid millions to advertise non stop for months on all these channels, Congress and BJP are doing it now.😕

Who has the time or inclination to bust one fake medal claim?...is what TheBoss implied!
