She came back because if a contestant leaves voluntarily they have to pay a hefty fee. It is in their contract.

So "her stand" was really, "I don't want to lose money and I want more money."

I agree that it is unfair she came back. If anyone leaves, they shouldn't be allowed back in as a contestant, unless they are sequestered with no access to outside world/TV/internet/phone, etc.
