'Salman's job as a host on Bigg Boss is to be nasty'

Feisty Delnaaz Irani has charmed her way into our hearts with her fun loving attitude and friendliness. Like her real self, Delnaaz is playing a playful Parsi character 'Dilshad' in the ongoing show 'Kehta Hai Dil Jee Le Zara'. In an exclusive chat with TOI, she talks about her show, her bond with Salman Khan and her innings withBigg Boss.

Salman Khan and his nastiness: There is a lot of debate about Salman Khan being bitchy and nasty in Bigg Boss as he makes fun of contestants and other fellow actors. I feel that it is his job as a host to be nasty to make the show interesting. I think he is asked to do be nasty. Otherwise he is a lovely person and is very friendly and respectful to his co-stars. However, I think he is a better actor than a host.

Strategy to win Bigg Boss: I was one of the finalists in Bigg Boss and can easily say that it is one of the toughest games to play. There is no strategy to win this show. One has to have patience, a correct attitude and nerves of steel to win this show. Bigg Boss has no format or technique. Anything can happen anytime, and one has to be prepared for unexpected events to win this show. In Bigg Boss, you don't play the game but the game plays you.

Role in '...Jee Le Zara': My character Dilshad is a typical Parsi girl who is innocent, fun-loving and helpful. She is Saachi'a friend yet likes to flirt with Dhruv. She is good natured and can make fun of herself. I hope people will love me in this show.
