acc. to me , none should make an issue out of gauher's and kushal's behaviour. each one has their own choices. it is completely their wish whether to attend the pooja or perform any rituals.

totally agreed... she didnt disrespect any god... it is just that her faith doesnt allow her to take part in pooja... so whats wrong with that???

my Best friend is Hindu and I am muslim. I have been to her house when they are holding a big pooja. i help them prepare, get the house ready, cook and do everything that require an extra hand but while they do pooja I just stay on the side or keep myself busy in kitchen no one ever minds that... or asks me to sit in pooja with them.

similarly she has been to my house for Quran Khanis and eid milan parties and when we are all reading namaz or reading quran she just steps aside or keeps herself busy and let us pray... but during Ramadan we both fast together... also we decorate their house on diwali and play holi together... no one ever minds...

my point is that both of us are true to our faith teaching and religion and the only reason we have been friends for almost 30 yrs is that we love and respect our differences as much as we love each other... and that's what the world needs today...

Gauhar didn't disrespect the pooja... she dressed up and became part of the house mate's celebration but stepped aside and let whoever wanted to pray pray... why attack her on that??

Because Gauhar is the easy target, as she is a Muslim. So people can point a finger at her and say she is disrespecting Hinduism by not taking part, she is arrogant blah blah.

On the other hand, Kushal is a Hindu, he could have been in the bathroom or pretending to sleep the entire time pooja was on, but cos he is a Hindu, no one would bother to raise a point.

People like bringing religion in everything.

agree 😕😕

I felt that Nag man, Tanisha and prats were more disrespectful sitting in front of god and bitching .

It is unfair to pick on either Gauhar or Kushal for not praying.

For Gauhar, the simple reason is Islam is categorically against any kind of Icon worship or But-parasti. If she is shown praying to a God / Goddess in icon / portrait form, more than a dozen hard boiled Mullahs would issue a fatwa against her and demand her expulsion from Muslim community. For the uninitiated, there have been Fatwas against Sania Mirza for playing as well as playing in 'revealing' clothes.🤔

For Kushal, the simple reason is in Hinduism there are no hard and fast rules as to how one 'has to worship'. Hinduism, as it has evolved over centuries, in its present form is more of 'each to his own' kind of philosophy. Even a festival like Durga Puja, Hindus of various regions and states worship very differently...many merely holding a little puja ceremony at their homes...and no one becomes a lesser or bigger Hindu because of the rituals he / she followed or didn't follow!😊

Big baas dekhiye...Religion ko beech mein naa ghaseetiye please!
