But with islam the religion itself is flawed and the people who implement it are also flawed .. So ur statement is true in case of islam .. Their book kuran don't preach all the right things .. They need to change it with time ..

your first statement is something I've already made. So I see no point inyou repeating it. Secondly, I feel I don't have the right to judge a religion I know nothing about. So I refrain from doing so. Clearly you don't. So I'll not participate in further discussion. You be happy with your views and let me have neutral views as long as the world lives in peace.

Cheers!

Please don't say this. What BB was celebrating was more Bengali oriented. Not all Hindus are same. Some eat meat and some don't.
So it is difficult to point out rules for different religious festivals as there are many different types of Hindus. I for one am a Gujarati and compared to Bengali it is similar but not the same. E.g. The rituals, rules etc...

I know you didn't mean everyone but try not to label...

u hve misunderstood me. i agree tht the religion is vast but my que is tht if its vast and ppl frm diff locales follow it differently then y r they backlashing without luking into it?

Hindus, who are non-vegetarian, can have mutton in any form...halal or otherwise...😆

They are not allowed. Only Jhatka style meat is allowed as per our books (just look at the way they do bali outside temples) and even the 10th Sikh guru said that only Jhatka style slaughtered meat is allowed. It is a different story that this is something which is not heeded very carefully by Hindus especially those who propagate this idea that anything is allowed and you can do as you please.

In conclusion, BB is really an idiot.

Yes but halal and kosher meat is not really allowed for Hindus and Sikhs. They are supposed to consume only Jhatka slaughtered meat. It's another thing many Hindus are ignorant to this. I'm not trying to stretch this or anything but I think the whole reason BB does these things i.e. stroking religion is to cause controversy and then you get people talking about it like on this forum. It's actually a very cheap tactic.

May be it is so for Sikhs and may be some other North Indian Hindus too follow this, but not all Hindus...😃 I am a Hindu...😊

Let the religions be. Followers of the religion ruin it.

Technically, there is no Hindu scripture that states vegetarianism is mandatory for Dussera or any other religious festivity. The core Hindu philosophy of karma states that people should only focus on their actions, without thinking or fixating much on the reward. The rituals, rites, fasts, etc that are followed are more like guidelines' and have culturally evolved' over the ages. It is just popularly believed that following these rites is morally desirable or necessary, but not actually compulsory'

I ate a big Red Robin Burger on Dussera. I'm going to Hindu Hell.

Wait, I didn't even need to eat it on Dussera. I got a one way ticket to hell when I started eating burgers.
