As a matter of fact, bengalis do eat non-veg during durga puja except for ashtami and probably shasti. And today's celebration was very bengali oriented. So mutton's alright i guess.

Bengalis eat mutton on Durga Pooja... It is a bhog on that day, so it's okay as it was more of a Bengali pooja.. For other states they re vegetarians...

Hinduism don't stop anyone from doing anything ..
If a person wanna eat mutton on some day than it is their wish ..

Wht is the use of not eating non veg if they person himself is full of evil mentality ..

God prefers who is pure from heart .. not on the basis of wht one has eaten .. Tht is the greatness of Hinduism ,,,

The halal must've been for Gauhar. Bengalis do eat non-veg on Dussherra. No biggie. The durga pooja stalls even sell non-veg foods during navratras. This no non-veg during Navratras is mostly a North Indian thing. No idea about the south.

Please dont post instigating statements. All religions are flawed, may be not in the religious books but definitely in the way it is practised.
