In some ways it seems to me Appu's acceptance of the shaving task was in defiance of Shilpa. He seemed calm and willing to be a good sport. In fact right after hearing Shilpa say, don't do it - he agreed. I think he knows people see him as a hen pecked husband and he wants to break that mold.

His mohawk needs some styling work though. It falls funny out of place. The top head needs to be trimmed or spiked with gel.
