I found this interesting article in India Today.
Do you think there are some similarities between this season's and previous seasons' contestants? Yes, Gauhar sometimes reminds me of Mahek, but other than that I think India Today has got it wrong.

Bigg Boss 7: How it borrowed from the past seasons
From drama kings, to the typical Indian male, and the perfect Indian bahu gone wrong - Bigg Boss 7 is not too different from its cousins of previous seasons.

In all fairness, there's none like Rakhi Sawant, but Ratan sure reminds us of her. Think, Rakhi Sawant circa LS - 'Laaj Sharam'.

Extra fluffy around the edges, Rajat might as well be raring to take 'em down Japanese wrestler Yamamoto-style.
Pratyusha Banerjee:
From friends, to foes, to exact copy. Pratyusha, wait for it, is none other than Sara Khan reloaded (whiny voice et all).
Kushal Tandon:
Slicked back hair, a manly-enough beard, Kushal's original can be found in Hrishant.
Hazel Keech:
Since Bigg Boss can't seem to do without pretty faces, Hazel played this year's cutesy cute girl. Reminds us of Karishma Kotak.
Gauhar Khan:
Bigg Boss couldn't take Mahek Chahal again, and, so, he decided to go with her shorter version, Gauhar Khan.
Armaan Kohli:
The Great Khali had muscles but apparently not enough in the throat. Seems a chattier Armaan, with muscles, too, has more than made up for it. It's all about finding balance, after all.
Apoorva Agnihotri:
Rahul Roy resurrected. New model features include better looks, and added zeal to make your Bigg Boss tasks easier to survive.
VJ Andy:
As chatty, as witty, as quirky but not as bi-polar - Andy is a slighlty refined Imam.
